It is rare to see such a strong cast on tour. Lyn Paul debuted in the role of Mrs Johnstone in 1997 and has recently been voted by a Blood Brothers fansite as the "undisputed Mrs J. of all time"

Why has Lyn’s rendition even got 5 thumbs down!? I loved this when I first heard Roy sing it years ago but this is absolutely on a par with his version for me.....
I went to see it this year at Darlington Hippodrome Lyn Paul was not Mrs J but Sarah Jane Buckley stepped in to the shoes of Mrs J and really stole the show. Mark Hutchinson played Eddie and he was awesome as was Sean Jones as Mickey!

Beautiful in the extreme - song, voice and lady. Was Musical Director in the 70's at large night club just outside Manchester and worked with both Lyn and Eve.....Incidentally - there must be something about Wythenshawe - it also was the origins of Angie Gold.

Nanci's version is soulful, wistful and expressive. Lyn's version sounds pretty, but the emotions sound more of desperation. Nanci is one of the most emotive and expressive singer/song writer/guiar players that exists today.

I've never seen Lyn as Mrs J. but I'm sure she's absolutely amazing. I love her anyway. Vivienne Carlyle is my Mrs J. and Sean is definitely my Mickey ♥ Although Karl Greenwood is also really good.

lyn paul is the ultimate mrs johnstone..played her for 13 years with the tours and stints at the pheonix london...shame there wasn't any clips/recordings on the net for you to hear..
When i saw Blood Brother's in London on 6th Jan 2011, for GCSE Drama, my drama teacher who is a trained actor knew the guy who played Eddie (Simon Willmont) so after the show, we got to meet him, and get pics and his autograph. Best day of my life so far :D Simon is the most down to earth guy ever :D x
It seems weird seeing someone who's not Mark Hutchinson playing Eddie. He did the role for years and years in the West End. And he had such a hilarious laugh.

I saw this last night at the Cliffs..it was really great! Sean Jones was stunning...unfortunately we had a bit of difficulty with the mics so some of his more subtle acting was lost..but I really leant in to listen to him. he was great!!
