3weeks late but, put the tunnel in…the bridge scene is really gonna look nice; I can tell 😊…

Hi Chris, one issue I had was the differences in dimension (overall Height) from the Underside of the Tie-base to the Top of Rail. The original Walthers / Shinohara is 3.5mm (0.140") whereas Peco and Atlas are 4mm (0.160") I have checked A.R.E.A. Track Standards and 4mm Height checks-out ok. The new Walthers Turnout that I have remains at 3.5mm overall Height. However, IMO the Quality of the new Walthers Turnout is greatly improved and superior, when compared to my Shinohara Turnouts that I have and these will all be scrapped at Layout rebuild time, as well as all my Shinohara 'Flex'-Track.

the unpainted bridge is to scale. HOWEVER, it is an older style bridge made before they added cables to bridge trusses.

They're gorgeous bridges when built, but the amount of flash I had to clean up on the cross-bracing of mine drove me crazy - unacceptable levels for a kit being produced in this day and age. All but one of mine shipped in plastic bags too, pretty much guaranteeing the number of broken parts I was rewarded with when they arrived. Like you, I'm not sure I would go down that path again given the options now available. You're going to have a really nice scene there with the three spans and the girder section though, very reminiscent of some similar scenes on the Green Bay and Western back in the day.
