I am a trained nail technician. I don’t work for a salon. I trained so I could do my own nails safely. I am constantly trying new products and techniques and I am happy to post my results here. If there’s something you’d like to see or if you have any questions feel free to post a comment and I’ll try and answer as best I can.

#Righthandmani #witchygirlnails Wooden Practice hand from IKEA
Просмотров 2322 года назад
I bought a wooden hand from IKEA - pic at end of video- to test it for practice nails. It is slightly larger than my hand. I used 3&4 123 Go Nails and adhered with Enailcouture jelly.
I used Full cover gel nails like a dual form - and it worked!

I followed the instructions from RUclipsr MyLee Nail ( ruclips.net/video/ZAAAXbbthBs/видео.html) but with enailcouture 123 go gel nails as a dual form. It worked!
#RightHandMani gel polish removal with efile

I removed my gel polish using my medicool efile and arbour band@4-5k rpm. My right hand is dominant so I keep it slow to avoid injury or gouging and just take the top coat and polish off.

Example of how I follow the line of light when finish filing. I did an extreme shape to illustrate but the same principle applies to salon nails. #RightHandMani #asmr

Right Hand Mani- Easy Peasy Smile Lines
Wow, 😢 you talked more than you actually demonstrated the technique of using dual forms to apply acrylic. I... WOW, just wish that I could get that time back! 🥹😥😪
I use a tip!... Yes, acrylic &/or polygel with dual forms OVER A TIP!
I'm an experienced tech and I was wondering if you could use them as an extension and build up. Ty
You can do a square with the paper form, you just have to shape it to the nail a cut it slightly with a scissors ✂️ to open up the form giving it a more square shape 😄
Good video💞👍👌new subscriber💗l will be very happe if you want to ceck in my canel 💞
How long did it take to get your order and when did you order
Star Trotman - I am in Canada. Orders usually arrive within 8-10 days. She sends a tracking notice as soon as order leaves. I typically order once a month to take advantage of free shipping discount for orders over 150.
Em O'Neill i ordered back in May and still nothing. I’m in US
Your such a genius for using the silicone tool to wipe off the press on gel, definitely going to use this tip when I get my 123 go nails 💅
vida creation I hope you like them. They a game changer for sure.
Brilliant
Right hand mani is a pain for those who cook twice a day and clean etc it’s not easy
Great idea! I wonder if you can do that sandwich technique with polygel? Thanks
Yes it works w all types. Just make sure you have a bit of a free edge to start so you can bump up flush to it from bottom side. Otherwise you’ll get that wedge.
Hi, this is a clever technique. Will you do a video from start to finish? Thank you!!!
This is genius! I was wondering about the nail form under the dual form but then my mind kept saying it might not work because of how curved these dual forms are (I have the same kind and I’ve seen the method work but they have the full nail tip kind of dual form). So I’ll try this. Tfs!
Thank youuuuu! I had made it too big and had a blobby underside! SO I was putting too much product. Live saver !
Gr8 idea!
great video !! thank you
When you say you do another layer, do you brush it on or use the form again?
Carly Nicholas for these I brush it on. It’s such a tiny amount.
I just received my dual forms and I happened to get the same one as you. I used to use nail tips but the last time I sculpt my nails but they would break off. I thought I didn't build the apex well enough so I redid my nails but still had a lot of breaks. Did you experience this when using dual forms?
brenda janzen if your Apex is too thin you’ll get breaks. Sometimes when you press to nail you can squish down too much. When that happens I go back and add more to apex - it’s like doing a fill.
Em O'Neill thank you!
About how long does a set last before any lifting occurs?
321 andme I don’t really get lifting w this product then I use dualform unless it’s oozed up and touching the cuticle. I think it’s the slip solution diluting around cuticle that causes lifting and I don’t have to use slip when I use the forms. Just follow prep steps they teach us in school and it’ll stick! If anything - it’s a pitb to get off!
Great tip for filling the form with product 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Do you ever have problems w lifting cause you cant control the product near cuticle
Carrie Macgregor Denisejohn65 has a great tutorial on using forms to make tips and then backfilling so the cuticle doesn’t flood. I used to get lifting from too much slip solution diluting the product. If it touches the cuticle you’ll always get lifting. You’ll need to file it out.
Carrie Macgregor also- flash curing top helps then scrape off excess and pull down product if it’s squishing out under the nail.
Em O'Neill thats a great idea thanks
I have been doing my nails with acrylic for years with the dual forms, I love it that way. I am excited to get my polygel product so I can ditch the acrylic :) Great tutorial. I have that cuticle pusher also and can see how it will be more than useful now. Thanks.
Tracy McPherson yeah- it’s good stuff. Total game changer in my book. I love working with it. Have fun! Thanks for watching 💅🤓
Do you have to use those 2 liquids you used first? What is the prep for the nail?
peaznat it's just harmony dehydrator and acid free primer - I just use the harmony brand because it came w my school kit. I've seen people use their foundation soak off base as well so removal is easier - the product is really flexible but I like to stick w same brands for stuff. (Superstitious I guess 😜) . I don't see why you couldn't mix it up- if you have a primer that you know works well w your clients - go for it.
How do you add another layer after been cured?
Marisina Rangel hi- you can either add more product to the form - press and cure then file and shape - or treat it like a backfill and add a bit at top and blend down- that's what I usually do.
I would’ve like to see you add the second layer
Michelle Gallas lol me too! My daughter was soooooo done holding camera for me! Next time I will- promise!
How long did you cure it? And do you have a uv or a led lamp??? Love the vid by the way❤️
Jet Korving I use a uv/led hybrid from amazon - cure 1 min each side
Can you please link where you got your led lamp?
www.amazon.ca/dp/B06XG4XBSS/ref=sspa_dk_detail_2?psc=1
I have a question for you, when I’m doing the polygel with the form on my own nails after it is cured and after a few minutes it comes right off what do you suggest I should use
Allie Hunt it's possible you're not curing long enough - I'd try removing form and curing again to make sure the light penetrates- also flip hand over and cure the underside. Make sure to follow their prep instructions. Keep it thin to begin. Denisejohn65 has a great tutorial for using forms w gel.
Are you taking the shine off the natural nail? I forgot to do this once on one of my hands and it came clean off lol
i did not, thank you
How long do these last ?
ALEDMO1362 I usually fill every 10 days - it lasts as long as acrylics or gels for me. I'm not rough on my nails though - I get bored and change color often.
Such a great idea to use the pusher to press it in the forms!!! Regards from Gemany🌸
Can I use this method with arylic powder and liquid instead of gel?
Mahogany Coy yes - they were invented for acrylics
Em O'Neill Awesome!!! Thank you
I've been asking this question forever with no answer.. does this product get hot under the lamp?
Vanessa Nunez no- unless there's nail damage - you can feel heat where the slip solution thins product around cuticle. Heat can happen if product is too thick w any gel.
Em O'Neill okay because my gel polish burns like hell. I guess I'll do the bulk of the nail with the form off the nail and a final thin layer to attach it.
Where did you buy your nail drill,?
a.co/aFsR7X6
Helpful explanation. Thanks.
Do they come of faster than gel or acrylic using the duel forms? I’ve found that when using the duel forms with acrylic they pop of
Tereza Malley they seem to be as good - definitely go back and add another layer for apex. - I didn't show that part just the tip part but I like to use this method for my non dom hand and haven't had any issues so far. I started doing my nails w these forms when I ran out of my size tips. I really like the shape they make. I'll try and make another full set vid one of these days :).
Genius using your cuticle nail pusher to press it in the dual form. I’ve done to sets and struggled with getting the right amount of gel in there. Can’t wait to try your method of application. Thank you
What type of efile are you using?
Codi Potts I use a JADA power drill jd700 I found on Amazon 30k rpm a.co/aFsR7X6
I was successful at mixing a little bit of polish to give poly gel A little tint ,just got my poly gel yesterday and it was amazing playing with it .thanks for the video
Nice! I don't know why but I am allergic to all gel except Poly Gel. Wonder why? Any thoughts on that ladies?
Natalie Boldt look for acid free products!
Thanks Mizz Eiff i will give it a shot!
No because its just gel mixed with acrylic power in the right ratio
I've never tried dual forms they look interesting. New subscriber hope u will subscribe back 😘
Em, tottaly agree it is pretty.😍
Looks like polygel was custom made for dual forms, as in a bit easier to control the product. ❤️
Kari Coleman - it works really well with forms. I also like that I don't have to fiddle with slip solution and worry about using too much and getting lifting. This way you can scrape it off the cuticle area and only use slip on underside where it isn't as fiddley.
Great video maybe next time use a camera tripod. Too much movement
Squirrel Grrrl I hope I didn't offend you, I had no ill intent. Next time just try to hold the camera still instead of following every movement and just zoom in and out. I look forward to more videos!
What type of electronic nail file do you use? I am looking to purchase one
Charmaine Gibson-Callender I use a JD700 JSDAPower file 30k rpm. I actually got it on sale off amazon during their prime promo so it was 50%off and free shipping. I think I paid $75. It's fine for what I do - I'm not very active as a nail tech (yet). My bits are from enailcouture.ca I like their pink carrot and barrel bits for removing product and the moon bit for smooth cuticles. If you'd like to see more of my nails I'm on fb as Righthandmani page. Thanks for watching!
Meglio con il gel
Great video
Brilliant! One question...how do you get rid of the bubbles on the nail?
Sam Hugh go in slow -touch up and top coat usually fixes bubbles - I like seche vite for topcoat.
Em Oneill, thanks!
New sub here! Great tutorial!
