Veldig bra blues!

I lived and worked in Stavanger during the eighties and was a friend of Jens and his band. He took my suggestion and called it Booze and Blues , later adapted as a name for an English Off- Licence group. He had an excellent lead guitarist nicknamed Rockwool ( a type of piping insulation) an a ginormous collection of blues LP`s which never left his house I once went to a gig in Sandnes with several other blues groups including a Swedish group. He seemed to know all of the blues un Scandinavia and personally financed an LP to be made in a Sandnes studio. He would often perform in Stavanger in the Red Sea House, a four story all pine building that would resonate with the bass boom of the blues. Jens was by profession a drilling Engineer He tended to be a purist of the blues he loved.. The band played for pleasure and beer and stopped after one or two songs for a chat and lost the momentum of concert they had obtained. I really thought they would go somewhere but apparently di not. There were about three blurs clubs in the area but he was the best singer. One night at the red sea house there was a scruffy zonked out creature sitting at the side of the stage with claws instead of finger nails. It was sadly Peter Green of Fleetwood Mack. Once we had an arrogant bad mouth singer embarrassing himself by going on about duigs when there was few in Norway. He sang a couple of songs but was outdone by a, local sounding like him in his prime. That was Eric Burdon.

Knall bra sang, fikk gåsehud.. Thorsrud va drømmelæreren te alle på Grubenskola, å det artige e at han va klasseforstander til dattra mi og, så han ha vært der i nån år..:O)
