Whilst a scenic walk now, it was once a perilous track lined with highway robbers trying to intercept goods being brought in from the sea up the river roads to Truro. An incredible poem written by Miner/Poet John Harris (1820-1884) who worked underground at Dolcoath for over twenty years. Dolcoath was Cornwall's deepest and perhaps most famous mine.
