Hi! i also want to apply to UIC even if i still have 2 years but what concerns me the most is when you apply for the visa on the UIC website it says that you need to send them like a account balance and on some other websites i read that you need a account balace of 10000 Dollar (i think) but what if you cant prove that you have this much money? are there other options or can you then get no visa for korea?
hii did you change your instagram user? i tried to search it up but i can’t find it ㅠㅠ
hi!! sorry, i didnt but i did deactivate my account a couple of weeks ago for personal reasons. ill reactivate at some point :)
Hi from Italy,I applied for the fall 2024 semester when I still hadn’t finished high school and I got rejected ,they said it was not due to my academic achievements but due to the high number of applicants. Now that I have graduated from high school I’ll apply for the spring 2025 semester, do you have any extra tips or recommendations for the application? And what are the lowest grades that you know someone was admitted with? I really want to get in but I don’t know if my grades will be good enough or if once again I’ll be rejected for the same reason. Great video btw
I have heard that we can't do job in our native country after graduating from south Korea please provide authentic information 😢
not true at all, most of the alumni i know are working outside of korea, myself included
@@anaecaooh really that's great, actually this thing stopping me for applying gks but now I know 😊
Hii, can you talk more about the difference among Sinchon Campus and Songdo Campus? Can I choose which one to go?
hi! huuuum songdo campus is more secluded in the sense that it's smaller and a lot of students live on it and spend their lives there since songdo does not have that much to do, so there's a bigger sense of community in the songdo campus. sinchon campus has a biiiiig variety of people, including older students (50+) and random people just hanging out (nice place to hike). it's also a lot bigger and in the heart of seoul so there's TONS to do all around it. i definitely preferred sinchon campus but loved the memories i made in songdo, best time of my life. you can and cannot choose the campus you go to... songdo campus is mandatory for the first year (you HAVE to live there at the dorms) and then it will depend on your major. UD is based in sinchon but HASS and ISED is based in songdo. since i double-major (UD and HASS), i chose to live in sinchon and go back and forth on the free shuttle bus (around 1h per trip).
@anaeca I'm going to do Undergraduate (architecture or clothing) so I'll live in songdo for the first year and after go to sichon for the other years?
hi! unless UIC has updated their majors and im unaware of it, those don't sound like UIC majors so i can't tell you for sure as i only attended UIC and am not familiar with regular yonsei regulations.
Hello! I am currently applying for Yonsei UIC to get the Asian Studies Major. As I am already accepted in a prestigious university in France, Sciences Po, I just wanted to know if the UIC Bachelor's degree is as reputed worldwilde as another Bachelor's degree at broad Yonsei, like could it lead to top-world universities such as Oxford, Harvard (not Harvard Law), Columbia, Cornell or even the University of Tokyo? Also, is your degree delivered by UIC Yonsei or broad Yonsei like the other Bachelor's degrees? Thank you for the video, it helped me see a bit clearer than before!
hi!! think you were the person who messaged me on ig! sorry i missed your comment!!
hi, i am applying to uic hass division majoring in sustainable development and cooperation. Does extra curricular activities play a huge role in admission decisions in 2024 since they wont take ps and recommendations?
hi! hummm i think it varies case by case but i definitely did not have a lot of extra curricular activities. i basically studied english and played the oboe for 5 years, that's it and i definitely did not centre my application around that.
Hiii i am a soon to be junior in highschool can i dm you to ask about uic??
hi! ofc!! ig @anaecaa
hi dear i want to apply for PHD in plastic surgery so how could i?
hii may i know the international to local student ratio for each module in general?
hi! can't answer this accurately but definitely more koreans
Hi, Does it feel lonely at the Songdo Campus? Are there a lot of students there? because I don't see many students around in any of the UIC-related youtube videos so was just curious to know.
hi! it can feel super lonely at times if im honest but there's more people around than you think
Per semester fee for political science in UIC…??
around 7 million won
Thank you for telling about your experience. For people thinking about entering uic that’s really helpful❤
Hi, thank you for the advices and experience you shared. I will also enroll at UIC in fall 2023. So, I wanted to ask you about 2 main topics(CC courses difficulty and scholarship). Firstly, how did you adapt asap to the workload and course's difficulty at Yonsei university when you were freshmen (specifically the common curriculum you chose)? Are there any specific CC course (from your experience) that has a large amount of coursework or a lot more difficult than subjects you took from your high school? Secondly, you need to have at least 4.0 or above out of 4.3 to have some chances of getting a merit based scholarship? and as for the need based scholarship, even though they will consider those who are in need of financial aid, do you think they still take my home country and school connection to the university as one of their main consideration?
i am from bangladesh... can i study there with scholarship?🥺🥺
hi!! all students can receive a scholarship regardless of nationality but the selection is up to the office. best of luck!!
Hi! I applied to UIC for fall September intake 2023 and I've been accepted. Unfortunately I didn't get the admission scholarship as well even though i really needed it hahaha. But i just want to say that your video is super helpful and it helps me alleviate alot of my anxieties about going to UIC at yonsei in Korea. I just hope that it'll be worth it in the end. Thanks for the lovely vid!
hi 🥺 im so sorry to hear about your scholarship! i reallyreally get it!! it will all be worth it in the end and i hope you figure everything out!! enjoy UIC 🤍
Hi, Do extracurricular activities reallyy matter while applying and also what was your GPA?
Does uic provide bba degrees ??? Plzz reply
no :( just BA and BS. but regular yonsei does! their regular business school
it happens to me when I use the front camera as well. ㅠㅠ
Yay a new video from Ana!<3
👍🏻👍🏻
Hello I’m thinking to apply to UIC this year . I have some questions regarding admission . Is it ok if I dm you in insta ? It will be a great help .
hi!! no problem! feel free to dm me 🤍 @anaecaa
Hi! I hope you are doing well :) I am applying for fall 2023 in International Studies. I wanted to ask you some questions : -you said that you had to live 1 year in Songdo, but in the website they say the undergraduate program is in Songdo and the graduate program is in Sinchon. So did you take online classes? or it is possible to do the undergraduated programm in Sinchon? -Also, as you said, when you enter in fall semester there are less korean and more international, so is this harder to be integrated in Korea society? because I heard that a lot of internationals where just for exchange and not for long term studies, so the friendship in Korea can be short (I don't know if this make sens😅...). Thank you in advanced ! ;)
hi jade!! - by graduate programme do you mean GSIS? that is a separate college from uic (but still yonsei). uic now has a graduate programme too but it's entirely in songdo, as far as i know. the undergraduate programme is in songdo for the other two divisions, HASS and ISED, not UD, the division of international studies. so, you will be in sinchon for sure. but!!! you do have to live the first year in songdo, no matter your programme. but then you'll move to sinchon as a sophomore. - a lot of international students are exchange students for sure but once you enter uic, all the international students you'll meet as a freshman are full time students. i'd say it's a little difficult to be integrated in korean society regardless of when you enter uic, unfortunately. however, you will meet a lot of koreans are uic regardless (there are always koreans entering in the fall semester and you will never be isolated from the other students, who've been at uic for longer. you will be making friends with all years!! so don't worry about it :) ) hope this was helpful!! Xx
anotado 😉
Hiii! What do you do in korea? 💗
hi!! i moved to korea for my bachelors (not as an exchange student, but as a full time student) and then i worked for a bit. something new coming soon!
hello! you mentioned that some of your friends went on to do Harvard graduate law school etc. was the acceptance rate for students from uic applying to eg Ivy league graduate schools high or just some students only?
hiii! i would say it’s quite common! we have an alumni group on linkedin and i see a lot of people posting about their master programmes in ivy league schools, not just in the US. i see a lot of alumni working for big firms as well like mckinsey and jp morgan!
I am planning to apply to UIC under the Hass division and have chosen Creative Technology Management as my major. After watching your video, I decided to do a double major and am considering choosing economics as my second major. I wanted to know when I would be able to move to the Sinchon campus if I chose economics as my second major and how many years I would have to spend there to complete it.
i moved to sinchon campus in my third semester but you can move whenever or not at all! id advise you to do both majors at the same time, maybe focus on one more than the other each semester to match your schedule and travel between campuses! there’s a free 1h shuttle. hope this helps!
@@anaeca Thank you for the response ❤
Hey, Just curious if the classes for Asian studies were taught in English or Korean when you transferred to Sinchon Campus for further studies?
hi! asian studies is a UIC major so everything is always in english regardless of the campus
hi! im applying for hass the division but i read on their guidelines that the majors are offered in songdo. i was worried because i want to move to the sinchon campus after the first year. since u were in asian studies which is also under the hass division, u got the chance to study at the sinchon campus? 😅
yeah :( i can confirm. some hass majors do offer some classes in sinchon, which was the case for asd and i managed to stay in sinchon also because of my double major. when i decided to just finish asd and go to songdo, was when the pandemic hit and so i finished everything online 😕
hi there i want to ask something rearding the application form for yonsei uic, im currently applying in there. can you help me perhaps?
hi! sure! i think we’ve already talked over on instagram?

hi, thanks for this !! i was wondering what the workload was like in uic? i know it’s described as a rigorous school but how was it for you/for most people you knew? (was it extremely stressful or strict, how much free time did you have, etc.)
hi!! this definitely definitely depends on the class but i would say there is a fair balance. for example, i was able to do 18 credits (so 6 classes) per semester because the workload was different for each one. this is something you can definitely find out from other students and also from the classes’ syllabi. comparing our workload with other schools, i think uic is definitely more rigorous/difficult but i always felt thankful for this because i was never bored and felt like i was learning and making my money’s worth! i was stressed out at times but i still had some free time and managed my time well enough to make that happen and not feel overworked. if it’s ever too much for you, you can drop classes as well. maybe this comment sounds negative but i mean everything in a positive way! i really wanted to feel like i was learning and working at college and that’s definitely what i got and i really appreciated the high standards at uic. the dean (love her 🤍) says that’s what defines uic. but again, there are classes where not much happens and other students will let you know which ones are those (definitely attended a couple). since we can make our schedule anyway we want, you can choose what kind of classes you want to take 🥰 hope this was helpful! id be happy to clarify further if you have any follow up questions 🤍
Please keep making videos!! 😊
thank you 🥹🥺 will try editing one soon 🤍
hi!! i’m interested in applying to UIC but i was wondering roughly how many classes you ended up having to take in korean because i wanted to apply since the website said the entire curriculum was taught in english. and if there were a lot of korean classes, did you find it difficult? thank u!
hi!! the only classes i took in korean were korean language classes! all regular classes are taught 100% in english! if you encounter any issue or professors using korean, you can file a complaint and it will be fixed. in the 4 years i was at uic, i only heard of one case where this was necessary. professors are supposed to teach in english. hope this helps!!
