This one makes me cry every time, it’s hard to forgive someone who has hurt you so badly. But to be able to work through that and the unimaginable pain of losing your child. Is something that is beyond me. ❤

It breaks my heart even more to know that when Philip was sent to the hospital Eliza was in black. Why? Well Some people think it meant like sad and dispar but she was coming back from her sister Peggy's funeral. Peggy had a cold and died. Eliza's fought through so much😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

The way even JEFFERSON, Jefferson who completely and absolutely DESPISES Hamilton, looks at him sadly through the window, is just so sad.....especially when you remember that Jefferson also felt that pain.

3:46 This is my favorite part. The whole time Alexander trying to be strong and comfort Eliza, even though he’s in the exact same pain. Then when she’s takes his hand, and speaks showing forgiveness, it all overwhelms him. Happiness for having her back, sadness and grief from losing Philip, anger and guilt for himself, because he feels responsible for his son’s death, and resentment for himself because he hurt Eliza. And finally when receives her forgiveness, he allows himself to breakdown, and falls to his knees in pain knowing she’ll be there to hold him and comfort him.😢😢😢

This is so hearbreaking. I love all the details. It makes it more heart-felt. I love the fact you included Jefferson. He feels pity because he also had bury loved ones. I have a love/hate relationship with this song. Its so well made but i cant listen to it without tearing up.

Fun fact: For a long time, Lin struggled with writing this song, because he had never experienced a grief so unimaginable. Then he realized that the perfect theme for the song was just that-how unimaginable it is to lose one's own child. He knew how to write the rest of the song as soon as he came across the line "there are moments that the words don't reach".

Him collapsing when she forgives him is everything. The hug after she forgives him is everything. The fact according to this animatic Alexander had her ring on him constantly is adorable (even though you probably didn’t think about that before had. Alexander repeating the lines she told him is everything. “She takes his hand it’s quiet uptown” is everything. I’m not okay 😭

Something to make you cry even harder: Phillip never got to see eliza forgive Hamilton, never got to see his parents together and happy again.

The art is beautiful. Only part I don't like is 2:24 because from my viewpoint, Maria did what she had to do. She had a child and money was a need. In realty I truly believe it's Alex's fault. He should've keep his hotdog in his pants and I honestly don't think Maria should be taking all the blame. Sure she seduced him and came onto him but at the end of the story, it's Hamilton who really allowed it to happen. Loved the animatic though, the drawings were amazing! <33
