Well I wasn't expecting us to announce him quite this soon! The worst kept secret in football broke earlier today, as Liverpool Football Club officially announced the appointment of Arne Slot as the new head coach, joining on June 1st. We will do a more in depth episode on the new gaffer once he's spoke to the fans and media, and we've had a chance to see what he's about... but for now, Welkom ...
Danke, Jürgen

The Jürgen Klopp era at Liverpool Football Club is officially over. The day as a whole was as emotional as it was spectacular. In the end, he got the send off he deserved, his backroom staff got the send off they deserved, and that was all that mattered. The crowd was absolutely incredible too. One final time, Danke, Jürgen, you made the people happy

I heard that Klopp was leaving when seeing the headlines on my ipad at home. Like most people, I didn't believe it. For weeks, I couldn't accept that it was happening.
Ipswich will surprise everyone . K Mc. is a flipping genius.
Difficult game no doubt but you never know
greetings Ipswich fans,, you seem to have a resurgence whilst our worry is off the field/// we are of CF Liverpool with targets to remove the ameriCANTS & issue shares to our Global Support *AGM planned for summer 2025 & REd supporter groups must sign in (not pay) by august 15 this year! supporting OUR club / campaigning against the inFESTORS! our ChRiS posted an important questions at the start of the FC Liverpool (Frank Carlisle channel on you tube tuesdays & thursdays) show, and instead a discussion (most of which is "deja vu" for me) about the sub standard "Euros" & transfers which wont happen,. end of rant? its FRANks show, its up to him.. and some Lfc fans may think I am unfair responding to YOUR post! but most times "true REd BELIEFS" are NOT aired on the "NOT-FREE speech internet" controlled by "USA corp"! Geordies backers are (rightly) pilloried, but who wants to RISK discussing the USA & the buddies of JwH etc backing GENOCIDE of more than 10,000 Gaza kids? ..ok basta cosi! .. with HOPE in OUR HEARTS! ChRiS p.s even seasoned fans on TAW don't get it that USAcorp a.k.a. wont support OUR CLUB that WE FINANCED to be serial contenders by employing a junior coach with no comparable experience of the toughest league in the world/champions league level! we always SUPPORT our Team...ONLY! ! Top vlog
Liverpool weren't the last team to visit Portman Road, we played you at Anfield in our last game of the 2001/02 season
You are correct.... I was only 11 though at the time so my memory of it is not perfect haha
Good show lads 🥳
I would disagree that Feyenood is a world supported team. Maybe in Netherlands and maybe but unlikely across Europe. Liverpool is world supported team. Just go to Asia and Africa and you'll see their jerseys worn.
props to Michael, some good analysis he gives us

his contract at AZ was due at end of that season and he told them he didn't want to extend. only after that did he start talks with Feyenoord and AZ sacked him immediately when they heard. It's not as bad as it's made out to be
The new narrative that Dutch coaches don’t do well in England is an injustice to some achievements. I understand how Mourinho dunking on Frank de Boer, thinking he could play Barça possession football with Crystal Palace and losing his season-opening games before being fired, can lead to the creation of such a certain narrative, but I just think it was naive, and they were also maybe very quick to axe him. It’s not like they gave his project a lot of time. Anyway, some history: Ruud Gullit was the first foreign coach to win an FA Cup. He left Chelsea with an average of 1.74 points per game (this was pre takeover), which was clearly better than the coaches before him like Glenn Hoddle, David Webb, Ian Porterfield, Bobby Campbell, who all scored below 1.5 points per game on average. While we are on the topic of Chelsea, name me a coach in their history with a higher points-per-game average than 2.41, which Hiddink achieved at his first stint at the club in 2009? Not even Mou or Conte achieved that. Hiddink also won an FA Cup and was knocked out of the CL in a controversial manner by Barca. Ask Drogba. Dick Advocaat, when he came in at the tail end of the season, at least managed to prevent the relegation of Sunderland in 2015. That it did not work out afterward is secondary. He kept them in the league. There is Martin Jol, who did well at Spurs. I saw a Spurs fan saying that their journey to where they are now started with him. That they were a food poisoning (lasagna) away from reaching the top 4, which would have been special for them back then. Coaches like Santini, Pleat, Hoddle, and Graham before Jol all had clearly lower points-per-game averages. Ronald Koeman did a good job at Southampton. Pochettino before him got his promotion to Spurs with an average of 1.45 points per game. Koeman left with an average of 1.64 points per game. At Everton, things did not work out, but it was not like Allerdyce or Silva after him got more points per game. They had less. I will also not back off the fact that I think that the first season of ETH at United was good. Played 2 finals, lost 1. Did not inherit a good team. A team that leaked to the press, there was the Ronaldo issue, and he achieved a third place in the Prem with more points than the EPL number 3 achieves on average. Far into the season, they were the team in Europe with the most wins iirc. It's the second season that is the problem, not the first. So the year in which he transitioned from Eredivisie to the Prem actually went well. Regarding LvG at United, whatever you think about the football and the achievements, he did win an FA Cup. I also think it is striking how no coach after Fergie really succeeded at that club. Dutch coaches have won more FA Cups in English football (3) than Portuguese (1) or German (1), while icons of those nationalities such as Mou and Klopp have spent many seasons in English football. One more thing: if only winning the Prem matters, how many Premier League titles have been won by an English coach, exactly? And let's be honest. An absolute giant of a coach like Klopp only won 1 Premier League title during his long tenure. We all know why. Because Guardiola is at City. Now, a mini version of him is running Arsenal. If the expectation is that Slot just comes in and wins Premier League titles left and right, then that is an unfairly high bar. Klopp did neither, and Klopp himself is already a very high bar. Liverpool would be lucky if Slot gets anything close to him. I consider Guardiola and Klopp the best coaches of the past decade, especially when you consider the budget Klopp had to work with. That being said, I'm very curious about how Slot will perform in the Premier League. Exciting times ahead!
Big bald head
No German manager had won the league until Klopp did.So these arguments about Dutch managers are silly.
Spot on, it's all about them trying to create a narrative that isn't there
I'm no fan of Moyes but to call him a dinosaur is highly disrespectful, he's done quite well the last two seasons and wining the Europa Conference was a massive achievement
Jurgen Klopp is one of the most honest men on the planet. I take what he says at face value. He says it has nothing to do with FSG and nothing to do with ill health. He's clearly mentally worn out by the pressure of managing Liverpool Football Club. It's enormous and going toe to toe with those cheats who shall not be named and missing out on the league twice by 1 point, that'll have taken its toll on him and obviously, last season was draining. It was draining for us as fans so I can't imagine what it's like for Klopp whose management is about energy. This today tho. Has cut deep. I feel very sombre and almost like I've lost a close relative. I just can't begin to process it. I don't want to but I think Jay is way off in thinking Jurgen is being disingenuous. Anyway, good show, lads. Will start watching more after finding use. Really good show.

Ye it's a good point 50m for a player with 1 good season is a gamble.. obviously he ticks the boxes with Klopp but ye being held to ransom is not good business it has to suit both parties
Not to P*** on the parade we conceded 6 goals against 2 poor German teams and beat a a relegated Leicester team who were very poor, looks like the Lavia deals gone cos the club is penny pinching Tbh I don't think Lavia is worth 50mil, we lost 8 midfielders n brought only 2 in, who r Quality We need more, look at what our rivals r doing Arsenal look FCUKIN dangerous, GOOD STREAM LADS

Fsg are saints compared to the rats hicks an gillet.. with the academy an stadium that will be still there in many for years to come money well spent.. obviously we'd love more dough for transfers but the club ran well financially..Hendo is a legend won the lot.. I was Lucas biggest critic but in the end respected the lad for his hard work 💪
Have to agree bout Konate hes got the potential to be world class but id definitely want another top quality CB in he could do with learning bit more hes got years ahead of him.. it wont harm his development to have competition it's healthy keeps him in his toes

Gulacsi deserved a mention with second choice keepers too. He didn’t get the chance at us but has gone on to be a good keeper
Great show boys 👍
