Hey guys can someone explain me how this is works as all car in UK are on flatbed So if i have RWD and automatic transmission, car is in P gear , do moving car on P gear is possible?? Or its damaging transmission?? I see sometimes when there is not access from rear they hook the front moving car a bit and then they tow car from rear , but do this moving car even couple feet will not damage gearbox ?

I'm towing my car behind a truck this week with a tow dolly - and just found out that I have to disconnect the drive shaft. Why didn't know this before? I've planned for everything - but no one mentioned THIS! I'm on the phone with Penske now.

Best way is to disconnect the drive shaft and tie it with a wire underneath, your auto transmission is safe for flat tow.

i have to tow my mercedes ml 270 of year 2003. Automatic transmision 4wd. Every body says not to tow on neutral, if you not disengaged the differential lock. Is that so, o i can put it in neutral and not have trouble??
