Hi David, Great lesson, but could I ask, what advantage does using the capo give? I originally learnt this tune on a banjo - GDAE in open position, but noticed you capo on the 2nd fret.
@@peterreynolds558 seeing as we are playing in D fingering, placing the capo on the second fret puts the tune into the key of E, which Morrison’s is usually played in. Capo on the 2nd fret also makes some of the stretches with the little finger slightly more forgiving!

Wow! Well played, Robin 🙏And your bouzouki sounds wonderful too! I'm currently learning to play the bouzouki and I must say your bouzouki has a very warm, rich sound. You mention that it's a Paul Shippey 'Axe' bouzouki, right? So I guess it's worth the investment I presume? I currently have a cheap, smaller bouzouki and it's fine to learn the instrument but I am looking for an upgrade and have come across the Shippey 'Axe' bouzouki but wasn't sure about the investment. Keep on putting those wonderful music vids up on YT!
