My middle school is doing this soon in the begging of January this sounds great but it sounds magical with more differing between low voices and high also we’re doing it way slower and deeper it’s a cool song
I did this in 5th hrade
Beautiful 😍
Is the conductor Christine Bass?
I remember doing solo and ensemble back in the day, and I actually met Sherri Porterfield (Spelling maybe off)in which she was teaching the group how to sing her beautiful art!! She was a really sweet lady, and it took place in Alabama I wanna say around 98-99. I've always loved this masterpiece! Great job choir🔥
Well done!
WOW!
Bravi!
My compliments to the sopranos! And a solid performance by all!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Y’all did so amazing I performed this my senior year 2018 omg it brought so many memories bravo brava ❤
Beautiful😍
God bless you. I have a cd that says thula sizwe. I didn't know that it was in Zulu. I'm going to study Zulu so that I can understand what the cd is saying. Thanks 🙏 so much for singing this song
Singing this when infinity war came out hit differently
We performed this version of The Tyger in my middle/high school choir nearly 30 years ago. So many memories!
Same!! I think about it sometimes. Amazing the generational flow.
Amen!
gorg song. i am stars ruck.
My school choir is learning this right now. It sounds soooo good!!!!
Nice
Thank you🙏 Virginia Mixed High School.
Thank you🙏 Mark
Well done. But this song needs speed or it just drags. The time needs to be cut in half. The sopranos are amazing. This choir sounds collegiate.
Well when you gather 250 of the best choral junior and senior students across all of Virginia, you tend to get a really good choir. As someone who is in this video, I agree that the song seems too slow.
@@empanada65 Is Christine Bass conducting? Love this interpretation!
C'est après avoir regardé un épisode de la série Monk, que j'ai fini ici ! (It was after watching an episode of the Monk series, that I ended up here!)
Dope track.
Beautiful rendition of this song for a time such as this. Hush South Africa! God watches over you 🙏
Moogronl ❤️♥️ mmm lmm
I still have chills when I remember being in the choir and hearing that huge “Fae” chord. Oh how I miss it
we just got this piece for our ensemble class today, can't wait to start playing it.
And we are doing it again lol

I am floored. I saw the video. Remembered how the song began. Sang my part of the beginning. And started the video to find out that I hadn't just remembered my part. I MEMORIZED THE FREAKING KEY. THE VIDEO WAS IN THE KEY THAT I SANG IN JUST BEFORE PLAYING. THAT is how much we had to practice these songs over those few days. I. Am. Shaking.
OH MY GOODNESS I CANT BELIEVE I USED TO LOOK LIKE THAT AND THAT I STOOD IN FRONT OF THE CHOIR WITH SUCH EMBARRASSING POSTURE I WANT TO HIDE IN A HOLE
Huge respect to all of you for a stunning performance! So thoughtful in every sound and nuance. Bravo.

I love their singing! Immediately fell in love when I heard the start
I'm doing this song for a choir competition, Wish me luck!😊

Who won?🤷♂️
my school won music in the parks every year for 10 years boo
First like :)
I love this it even gives me goosebumps
This piece is Beautiful but the overall choir vowels weren’t y’all enough if they had taller vowels it would sound so much better it just sounds so childish. But very good Effort
Hi! Message from a friend: Colleagues, our school owns the set of Variations on Joy to the World by James Christensen, but I'm missing several individual parts. The arrangement is permanently out of print, but I intend to keep performing it. The parts I'm missing are: Flute 1-2, Bass clarinet, Horn 2, Trumpet 2, Trombones 1-3. In this case, since the parts are no longer available anywhere, is it ok to write parts on Finale, or can someone provide me with some copies, or does anyone have a complete set that they wish to sell? Thank you for any help!
Eyy im doing this with my sixth grade chorus and we better than u think lol
I did this song in my high school choir my senior year. We got to compete in San Diego, CA! It was so much fun and this brought back those awesome memories 🤗
Indeed. I was in All State Choir. There were 5 songs we sang. The Girls got to sing this song. Lucky them, I wish I could have sung this, it's so good.
