In the end, you can see that even the Teddy came out of the trailer to partey!
New Kids! JUNGE!
It hit me hard just now: They're gardeners, partying in the garden of a client! Man, never really thought about it, pahahahahaha
I thought the shot outside the frontdoor was an intensional biur, then togo to a clear shot, to intend going from closed eye's to open eye's. That's just my interpritation.
15:39 In fact, this clip shows a part of the history of Mongolia. The Manchu Qing Dynasty of China began to try to conquer the Mongols in 1636. At that time, the powerful empire of Genghis Khan collapsed and the Mongols were divided into Khalkh(Eastern)Chahar(Southern), and Oirat(Western).Later, the Qing started a war to conquer Dzungar Khanate(Oirat). This clip shows the war between the Galdan Boshigty Khan of Oirat Dzungar(West Mongols) and the Manchu Qing Dynasty(200 years of War) And those warriors who wear red costumes are Manchus, the rivals of Mongols.
8:46 The Mongolians hand down their snuffboxes from generation to generation and value it as family heritage. The rich compete with each other in the style and design of their snuffboxes. So the style and size of the snuffboxes can be enormously variable. The snuffbox is made with precious stones such as chalcedony, mane, jasper, agate, turquoise, stone crystal topaz or ebony and also with porcelain and precious wood and express the status of their own owner.
I was going to recommend you analyze Ren Slaughterhouse - then I looked and you've already done a few by Ren including Slaughterhouse!! I'm so psyched to watch all of those next!! I don't think I saw the Money Game series, especially part 3 would be great if you haven't done those.
Have fun with those!!! They were incredible to deconstruct. I'm really busy at the moment but am planning on doing another trilogy deep dive on the Money Game videos later this year and give them their due focus and attention lol.
I'm not sure if this is what they were intending but I always thought they were dressing like Oliver Tree in this video.
Bluetooth headphones are the worst in gaming. I know they have cut the latency lately but it's not the same as wired ones.
These have been extremely reliable but they're cutting out a bit more lately, it's weird! I absolutely love them though. I wear them many hours a day lol
9:37 I can speak to this as one of the extras from the club scene! - the doors were real and controlled by the very high tech solution of ropes 😄 their commitment to practical effects where possible is one of my favourite things about them. I love your breakdowns, especially how you can spot the lights and talk about what they’re doing. I can tell you, the blue light was definitely a good reflection of how freezing that coal plant was after 11 hours dancing in clubwear 😂 12/10 would frostbite again
Amazing - thanks for stopping by and sharing some tidbits!! Ropes, that's excellent - they're so smart about these things 💯 but yes I can totally imagine it was freezing! And I agree the practical effects are incredible. Also thanks for sharing that it was 11 hours, I don't think people realize how much time goes into filming something like this! 👏
@ yes glad to share, it was hard to keep my trap shut the last 6 weeks waiting for the release haha! Oh, and our 11 hours were JUST for the club scene - day 3/3!! Crazy amount of work but clearly pays off. All the more respect for folks who do what you/they do 🫶
@@Stormwarnings-000 Yes, JUST the club scene!!! I think that exactly drives home how much work it is and how long it takes to shoot a full feature film, or a TV show for example! It's really a labor of love. ^_^
The elevator feels a lot like a tardis.
Ah, you got that at the end too
Have you reviewed Nightwish Movie Imaginaerum yet? Trailer ruclips.net/video/7Tn_ZgUmUTU/видео.html
Not yet, that would be such a huge undertaking!! I did do many of their videos on my channel though!
Keep reading down for Tank the Tech story on the songs origin. Great story.
The elevator operator is German actor Uke Bosse. He hails from East Frisia, so he is halfway Dutch in a way🙂
I would like to get in that elevator too 🌺
Since no one has mentioned it yet, the song is based on a real person, according to Tank The Tech, Roady, RUclipsr and tour manager of Electric Callboy. The House of Blues concert hall in Chicago is a multi-story building, the trucks are unloaded in the underground car park and the equipment is then transported to the concert area via an elevator. This elevator is also the fastest way to all the other rooms such as dressing rooms, which are spread over several floors. The elevator is operated by a guy who, according to the Cowboys, has an absolutely cool vibe. And since they were constantly taking the elevator on the day of the concert, the idea of dedicating him a song came about....
It's a great story!
Actually the Elevator reminded me of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the scene in the club gave me Vibes like the BLOODBATH scene from Blade.
Carina Pusch, which I do not know well, but she was in other EC-videos, was the mermaid and talked in her reaction a little bit about the set. The elevator was build and a lot of green screen was used. I think Kevins face expressions and dance moves in the club scene are pure comedy gold. At one point I had the impression that Nico weared one of this silly glasses with a nose on it. But I found no clear confirmation in the video. Could be only a lightening effect.
Having been there I can confirm it was his real nose! His is just…particularly impressive haha
@@Stormwarnings-000 Thanks for the information. I trust you on that xD
Ok, instant +1 sub/like. I've heard many reactors break down everything about their songs, from the production, to Kevin's screaming technique, to what key it's in... but you're the first I've seen that does visual breakdown/analysis of the video. I really respect that. I hit up your Patreon, too, because I'm interested in your story. My favourite author is Jason Pargin, whose "John Dies at the End" series is my favourite media. If you don't know it, it's cosmic horror / comedy, heavy on the "WTAF" 8^)
Welcome to video village! Thanks for the kind words!! I did quite a few more of their songs too, in case you're interested! Hopefully more in the future. I'm having way too much fun with their videos. I absolutely LOVE cosmic horror (am actually working on a script in that genre) and cannot believe I neverh eard of John Dies At The End before. Thank you!!
Even the first Scene in the yard I am sure its greenscreen :) But if you do not notice, then they did a good job ^^ Fun Facts: Pascal, one of their guitarists, opened couple years ago together with his brother a video producing company named "Schillobros". So there are always the same people involved. While his brother Oliver is directing the videos, Pascal is responsible for the cutting. Everything is D.I.Y. The other guitarist Daniel for example, is responisble for the recording and mixing of the music. They create the ideas for the videos during the songwriting process. Even the ideas for the stage appearence. While writing their songs, they take a lot of care that the songs are working live by writing parts where the audiance is always included. They do everything, that the people who come to their concerts are going to have a blast of a time, having a party with good and positive vibes so that they can forget their daily problems and have a good time and probbaly want to visit becaus of that an other concert. Couple years a go after Hypa Hypa they moved their studio and rehearsal room to another place. The place is so big, that they have a huge hall to storage their touring equiment (Huge LED Wall etc) but also a hall for the video production. So in their "base" they got a music studio, video studio and shooting rooms, rehearsal room and storage hall. They collected a group very nice people who are involved in everything. Partly the stuff of the Schillobros are also responsible for their Live Videos. And everyone grew his abilities together while the band grew during the last 15 years. They are like a family. They try to shoot as much as possible in their own Video Studio to save as much money as possible. Before their new place they had to rent a studio for couple of days and in germany, thats can be quite expensive. The club scene in the video they shooted in a old abonded industrial hall in the City of "Essen". Quite close to the place they are living (30 min away?). They had to dismantle the Eleveator and build it up again at this place. And yes you are right, they used a iPad for the elevator Display. Regarding that, the funny thing is, that the lighting button is normaly the Level for the electronic controlroom for example in hospitals. In the Video its just an underground club ^^. They rocket button next to it got pressed when all three started to go crazy in the elevator. The lights at the walls start to blink like on a party and they shoot out of the roof like a "rocket" to the space. They baby is the metal baby with the ratatata helmet. So its "Baby" Metal. The Idea for the mermaid in the elevator, just came in their minds after the first shooting day. They asked Carina Pusch, a professional make up artist and influencer, if she could play the mermaid because they remembered that she had Foto shoot as a mermaid. The costume, she did by herself. She also appeared already two times in other electric callboy music videos. For example she was the Alien with the "Three" tits. If you look for her name, you will find her on youtube, insta etc. The elevator operator was played by Uke Bosse. He is a funny cult guy who appears randomly in different occasions. He is a Professor for Game Design at a University in berlin. But he is also a actor and appears for example in a commercial with Sebastian Vettel (Formula One Driver).
More: The idea of the Elevator Operator is based on a true story. When they played in the House of Blues (HOM) in Chicago, the bed rooms were on the 7th floor. According to Tank The Tech there existed only one Elevator and they call it the house of stairs. So if you did not want to get exhausted by climbing the 7 floors by stairs, you always had to wait for the elevator which was controlled by the a guy named "Moss". He was such a chill dude and always played different music, Hip Hop, Party Music etc. So based on this funny experience, he wrote this song. Often they were just standing and waiting for the elevator and Nico got often impatient and said: I just want to get down. Funny: In the club scene where all memmbers of the band got lighting from the floor, Nico is nearly not to see next to Kevin, because he is so short. ^^ And the club scene in general reminds me more of the movie "Blade". THere was also a underground club scene. But if thats her influence for the scene, I really dont know.
Thanks so much for sharing all of that, that's some great background info!
Missed the "krombacher" placement there ....
The placement was in the techno club, just before the elevator doors opened and the mermaid was shown with the elevator operator.
Great reaction! Subscribed 😊 BTW- the baby at the end is a shout out to Baby Metal - hence the disco helmet 😊
Yes of course! A great callback :D
Moin ut noorddüütschland low saxony germany vun de waterkant Bremerhaven 😊. De Operator is Uke Bosse un komm ut noorddüütschland oostfreesland bi Aurek. De is een schauspeeler, Komöödiant un Media un gaming Professor un werks in Berlin 😊. Ik hoop du kann mi op Plattdüütsch verstahn 😊 Allerbest un hool di wuchtig mien deern 👍
This is incredible - I could read all of that! I had no idea. :D
The elevator operator is Uke Bosse, a German media professional, actor and university lecturer who works primarily in the field of video games.
The Mermaid ( Carina Pusch) did a video and said it was indeed a tablet in a frame for the elevator button panel. And the nightclub scene was filmed in some industrial warehouse situation where it was apparently very cold. There will be a BTS video again from what I understand and theres a EC/ Schillobros Insta post with BTS foto’s and info on all the crew that worked on the video. Which you probably already know since i’m pretty sure you are following them😊 Funny thing is I heard multiple reactors talk about how funny the bad greenscreen was in the opening scene and I kept thinking, am I that blind that it does not look like green -screen at all to me 🤔🤔 turns out I am not in need of new glasses after all.
The location looks a lot like "Trichterhalle" in Essen (which is close to EC's hometown). It is an actual location for events and concerts.
As far as I know it is "Alte Kokerei" auf Zollverein.
Trichterhalle is a part of the Kokerei. So that makes sense
@@florianlaufenstein5163 Nice thanx, I don‘t know if she mentioned exactly what or where the location was because my German knowledge is only very basic 😬 I’m trying to learn
Very nice to be guided by your expert eye once more! The story of the video is based on a venue in Chicago they played during their tour of the US, where the truck of the band unloaded seven storeys below the actual stage. To go up and down, a choice between seven (7) flights of stairs or one (1) lift with an elevator operator, whom they bonded with to avoid knee pain. He was nice, so they made a song about him! The actor with them is a German nerd idol I had never heard of, but others have identified him as a professor for game design, who is also an actor and comedian and presenter of some national computer game awards. Apparently he came “as he was”, i.e., that’s the way he dresses usually. Which is very consistent, because that’s why they asked him to appear, probably.
I can't believe that's how he dresses in real life! If so, that's the most fabulous professor ever, lol. Thanks for watching again and glad you enjoyed it!
I very much appreciate their selective use of shaky cam. I think it captures the chaos perfectly without being over used or making the viewer sick.
That's an excellent point!! I agree with you!
Great reaction and analysis! I just checked the credits for both Ratatata and Elevator Operator. The sets for both videos were built by the same person, Jörg Holderny, just as you guessed.
Thanks for watching, so glad you enjoyed it - and thanks for checking! I did think I was right but nice to have it confirmed lol.
Almost all of their videos are shot by Schillobros studio, and those brothers are actually their bassist and his brother. Well, and some other people for sure, but still :)
@@spkrash Pascal Schillo of the Schillo Bros is the rhythm guitarist for EC. Daniel Klossek is playing bass.
@@vidrax_de oh, sorry, yes, you are totally right
I saw the video several times. But with your help my horizon was really widened...- I had first just listend to music and saw the fun. I learned a lot of your video!
Yay, that's always my goal! Glad you enjoyed it and that it was helpful.
Great review and analysis! This one has quickly shot up amongst my very favorites from them. They never disappoint!
Same here Tarkus, it's a real banger :D
There was no green screen. They traveled back in time and established their dominance as the steel commanders 😂
The body language makes it unclear who exactly is seducing who In these Saints
Of course rent is famous for other videos which are completely done in one shot and amazingly choreographed
Feuerschwanz have a short "Making of" for this music video on their RUclips channel. Jenny Diehl, the redhead you can see at 9:05 (tilting back her head with closed eyes), is a member of the band as well as a co-owner (one of three people I think) of the small film production company which produced this video. She studied film in Nuremberg. In this video, she's in front of the camera as well as helping with the video production (you can see her in the "Making of" as well). The cave is an actual large cave in Franconia, Germany (in the North of Bavaria). Oh, and the Krampus mask is traditional, from the folklore of the Austrian Alps.
Essa música é esse clipe e injustiçado por conta da Emily ser lésbica pois tanto a história quanto a música é maravilhosa!
Thank you so much for your analysis of this video. I have watched the video many times before this, but you managed to point out so many things that I missed. Now I like the video even more than I did before. I especially like the ending where the musicians with their instruments cross the river to meet the writers of the music. Naturally I love Disturbed's cover of this song.
So glad you enjoyed it!
Great reaction! Please please consider reacting to S!CK - I think it is their best video. Extremely creative and fun. Shot on iPhone I think.
Your too critical, won't watch another of your videos.😢
Really enjoyed your breakdown of the videography and some of the symbolism. Even your sailor background was cool to hear about as NF did speak to the wind and waves they dealt with that day in filming. This song was a culmination of several albums in his discography (his "Journey" as you'll hear many NF fans, Outcasts, refer to it). The haunting building is a throw back to a song called Mansion (where the mansion is his mind and a 'home he's trapped in'). In his song The Search the says "I'm looking for the map to hope". In the video for "Let You Down" the old man you saw in the cell appears as (spolier alert) an older version of him. In his song Outcast he introduces the cell. In "Intro III' he says 'Cause I thought you had me in prison this whole time. But I'm the one holdin' the keys ...' and you saw the older man holding the keys as you called out. He has a song 'Why' that says "what's the definition of success? I can't trust this thing that beats inside my chest" which contrasts from the verse in this song that he says success is being believing what your heart says. The list goes on! If you like old abandoned places I would recommend: Leave me Alone and Why. But before those check out Mansion and The Search. NF 'Lost' also has gets a call back in Hope when he says I'm taking the reins (in Lost he says 'what I really want to do is learn to handle my thoughts, and put the reins on 'em, show 'em I'm the one that's the boss'. His catalogue is truly amazing. Ren is a contemporary of NF as NF was releasing music years before. Incredible and I'd say important artists. 🔥🖤🤍🎥 All the best with the work that you have going on right now!!!
This is so helpful for me to understand his videos better going forward! Thank you!
The band id theme is Eastern Orthodoxy Christianity. The shots are all done outdoors without any additional enhancers of the aura. Just typical outdoor conditions in this part of Poland - misty mornings at the valley of Biebrza river (or other).
I feel like the glitches are a bit of a nod to how stuff looked online when Linkin park began. Might be over thinking it
I love that idea!
"These children are incredible. They seamlessly balance their band, school, and personal lives while maintaining a strong connection with their fans. I've been a huge fan since I first heard them, and they continue to impress me. Thank you for featuring them in your reactions - please keep it up! I love your channel."
It's truly so impressive!
Video makes me think on Blackbriar, they always have great videos.
They really do!! Just as atmospheric.
That's a new metal 🤯
They were all members or part of the band In Flames, which started as a death metal band in early / mid 90es in Gothenburg Sweden. The band played melodic death metal but kind of evolved in a way that I think some people credit for being something that contributed to the evolution of metal core bands from the year 2000 and onwwards. These are true legends, especially Jesper Strömblad, the blond guitarist, who started In Flames.
I like how Ren handled it by producing this video. I also respect how Taylor Swift has handled even worse abuse from the industry and her peers. Those who have hurt her have had their behavior immortalized in her art and those who screwed her over in the situation with her masters have lost most of their value because she took the trouble to rerecord them. Often this is the only way for musicians to strike back at those who want to take advantage of them.
I remember my mouth open & shocked & emotional 1st time i watched this. Amazing vid & song
You like BTS. they did two bts videos for this. Search for: LPTV FROM ZERO: Making of "The Emptiness Machine" Music Video, Day 1 [Episode 2] - Linkin Park LPTV FROM ZERO: Making of "The Emptiness Machine" Music Video, Day 2 [Episode 3] - Linkin Park
