Thank you, I appreciate that! I totally would have uploaded it but I delete old source files after a while, and I don’t have the drum track for this video anymore. I use Moises.ai to mute the original drums in all my videos. You can upload a song and mute everything but the drums to create a backing track. I’m not sure if they still offer it, but they used to have a free version where you could upload up to 5 songs per-month for free.

Thanks for the question! I would suggest trying to find a used kit, I bought a Yamaha DTXtreme IIs 10+ years ago and it lasted me a long time before I upgraded. I’m biased to Yamaha, but the newer DTX6K is nice. You could probably find one used for under $1,000 on ebay or reverb. I would also check out the DTX532k which would be the previous generation, but you could get for even less money with the TCS pads (white). If you have any other questions let me know.

Thank you! I’ve played around with SVTs in the past, but I ran out of patience trying to get things to work. I run everything through two Yamaha modules.

@@sastrugidrums really? I have a Roland TD 17 and it’s not a lie when they tell you the built in sounds are horrible. That Yamaha sounds outstanding compared to this Roland. I have to use a VST. I seem to have got it sounding pretty good although the computer I use is 10 years old so I had to really adjust the latency to get it to trigger correctly. Once I get a newer laptop it should do even better. The one thing I haven’t figured out is slaving another module off of mine. I might need to look into it.

When I first got into electronic drums, I heard that about Roland modules, so I went with Yamaha. The new Yamaha modules sound great, in my older videos I used an old Dtxtreme IIs module, and it sounds terrible in comparison. I think a VST is probably better in the long run since you have more control/options. I will have to play around with one again at some point. If you ever figure out how to chain 2 modules together, let me know because I will have the same problem!

Thank you! The hi-hats are Yamaha RHH135 and for the module, I use a Yamaha DTXPro. It feels/responds very close to a real hi-hat.

@@sastrugidrums That happen cause you use it via a Yamaha module.Try the same with Alesis module... didn't work!!I have the RHH 131 and it doesn't work with Alesis controller.

Ah, I read in the past that certain Yamaha pads don’t work well (or at all) with non-Yamaha modules. I’ve never had compatibility issues because I have always used Yamaha modules.
