Note: The way I added the nuke to the Malka as another arty shell works by you having to turn off the main artillery shell for it to fire its nuke shell via fire position since it is an alternate weapon. Also, make sure to add more salves by changing the first -1 (after the 8 for the malka) to as many rounds as you like at the top of the reference.

Looking for help on moding Warno. I want to make a very simple mod to the formations. I just want to make the spacing 2/3 times bigger. Like when you select multiple units and drag they create a formation but are just waaay to close together. any idea under what folder this is under or where to start looking? Thanks!

Hey, thank you so much for these tutorials. They really help a lot. I have a question. I, with no prior warno modding experience tried to change some of the armor values on some of the tanks. I did that in UniteDescriptor. The mod creation was succesful, but the changed values don't show up on the data cards ingame. Do i have to change something else or do you think it just didn't work? Also, the division cost matrix spoiling the divisions they are going to add is kind of a big fuck up.
How do you edit unit values?
Is there a way to import things like trenches, bunkers and barbed wire from steel division 2 into Warno?

Hi.. how to increase radius of artillery and salvos count.. so we can bombard area. For m110.
hey once i create my mod and generated it, it always crash on startup. Do i need to upload it to steam workshop because i'd like to keep it personal. I haven't even changed a single variable and it always crash. And when i do change something like maybe add a unit from one division to another or increase the activation point of a division it always crash and i've checked for like hours if a variable is wrong or there's a typo or if i missed a line but it's literally picture perfect. any idea?
Is there any way to mod the Operations mode? Too bad if not.
I have tried changing the number of missiles on the Su-25 from 4 x KH-25 to 6 x KH25ML, and although I've made it possible to have the plane physically get 6 missiles on it's pylons, only 4 remained under the unit's description as well as simulated. They appear 6 but only 4 are actually simulated. Can you please tell me how to precisely control the ammo amount for various weapons, including these? Many thanks!
Could you do a more in depth tutorial on how to go about adding modules to certain vehicles? I wanted to make the British Chinook and Mi-26 Supply helicopters transports (for the really large artillery pieces) but youve confused me a lil lol
I am the one who made the nuke mod that you mentioned, and for fuck's sake I am actually a dumbass, because I saw this ammunition but I don't know why I didn't use it. I added it only later when someone else used it in their mod. Such wasted opportunity.
does modding in Warno affects Ai units as well? i don't see any videos of people modding a unit and show comparison between Ai and the modded unit.

i think you can make a new division and add all nato unit into this division, but i am still looking for how to add a new division, i think there are exsit mod doing this tho

Do you know how to edit the recon vehicles so it can spot enemies from all over the map? I tried to edit "OpticalStrength " but can't seem to make it work so all enemies are visible.
Increase portee vision as well
@@Oatmilk123 Seems to work. Only issue is that enemy units go invisible when driving trough forest areas and trough cities. So you will see a tank but as soon as it drives trough a city it disappears. You know how to make them visible as wel?

@@Oatmilk123 For now it is set as default as: OpticalStrength = 233.475. What is the maximum input I can do to see the entire map?
@@Oatmilk123 I have put it on 999999 but still enemy units disappear when the enemy drives next to forest roads or cities. Maybe it has something to do with IgnoreObstacles = MAP [] or
I'm having such a hard time finding out how to change the amount of men displayed in a squad; I know how to do the health and count for stats and all that, but, it still shows the original number no matter what I do!

@Oatmilk123 found out! It's in the unit descriptor, it's the hashmap, the list of numbers in brackets, they each mean a person and whatever weapon(s) they have
How do you reapply your modifications in all of your files after using the "updatemod" feature that you MUST use after each game update to have your MOD working again? Thanks!

No! You must do each unit!
As a software developer I have no idea why certain things in this game are the way they are. However I am thankful they're making it open for modding. It's lots of fun changing things up.

Nice, easy to follow vid! But when I put IHawk from 8th INF to 3rd AR in division rules, I can't save. I get a prompt saying I'm about to save and it will undo all formatting. Thoughts?
Idk what editor your using, sounds like a problem with that.

I'm pretty damn late responding to this and maybe y'all figured it out at this point but its in the UniteDescriptor.ndf, but finding some of the supply units are a pain cause they share names with other units

where does warno save the mods i have installed? am i not able to change the values from lets say your mod warno+ by myself?
You cannot see other users mod data even if you have it installed- only your own. Contact the modder if you want their files.

So you're telling me that if I want to to change the speed of all units (to make them slower) or increase fuel capacity of all units do I need to manually change the values of every single individual unit one by one or is there some kind of "global" file where with one value you can increase the fuel capacity or reduce the speed of all units at once? Thanks in advance for your answer.
I do not believe there is a global variable to generically slow everything down. I am just me though, maybe ask around. You might have a lot of work in front of you. You can always simplify it with XML too.

It is in > Gamedata > generated > ammunition and the HE value is called physical damages for each ammo.

Unfortunately you can’t create your own weapons to my knowledge. You cannot create things, only cite and adjust existing things.
