Hi! Can you please tell me what is speed limit on this road when you exit the roundabout .
30mph on the approach and exits
Thank you. It's a dual carraigeaway so I was assuming it's 70 when no signs.
@@faryalabid2288 It’s 50 on that stretch of dual carriageway that reduces to 30 on approach to throughabout
Generally speed limit changes are found at the start or end of a road. Hope this helps
Thank you so much for your help. My test is in next few days and your videos are so helpful specially for roundabouts.
This is why i hate roundabouts, obviously you did it right cos you know what you're doing, but i do not understand why you changed lane's so much 😮
So these are tricky as you are entering a primary road in this case a dual carriageway from a secondary road…so the dual carriageway can start on the approach to the roundabout ( that’s the case here) on the roundabout ( would be the case if coming from Webb’s Heath and taking third exit ) or on the exit of the roundabout. So our approach was to take middle on approach, middle on the first section of roundabout and left lane prior to exiting … hope this helps
3rd exit
2nd exit
3rd exit
2nd exit from cadbury heath
3rd exit
Shouldn’t you have been in the right lane to start not middle? Left lane is first exit only, middle lane is for second exit(as blue van in front of you did), and right lane for 3rd/4th. Dashed markings suggest this too, and spiral roundabouts i thought each exit you tend to move one lane left to where you were before. ruclips.net/video/e6TsX9Ob91w/видео.html
Sorry for late reply… on approach in middle lane has two options… option 1) is to go second exit to Mangotsfield or as I have shown option 2) to go to the right 3rd exit onto the ring road in the normal driving lane…yes you can use the right have lane on the approach but you will then leave 3 exit in the over taking lane… hope this helps and thanks for looking
That was definitely a pass 🥳.
This is the part of my day I always enjoy!! The secret to ranking - Promo_SM!!
You cut in you was in the wrong lane
You’re wrong 😂 Look at the road markings first before you comment
What waste of money from these tory idiots the roudabout before was ok at least you didnt have to go through all of those traffic lights
Overall I thing the design was poor… two lanes becoming three then a speed restriction as prior to three lanes becoming two so far from the junction…also initially had the wrong markings on the road including east / west…and wrong lane arrows.. signage from Cad Heath should have ring road box…so many accidents including a fatality where a simple spiral would have worked and would have been safer and cheaper
Whoever designed the road signs and markings needs the sack. These road markings are an absolute disgrace and a danger to road users. I bet it's the same numpty that Installed a lamp post in front of traffic lights on junction one of the M32 !!
Typo in the title, great video. Thanks for sharing 👍
Dyslexia. Sorry
The usual Bristol traffic management, all the directional information is on the road, where you can't see it when it is busy and the car in front of you covers the writing. Great series of videos 👍
Signage is poorly placed and not spaced correctly in my opinion and often hidden by trees and bushes..seems to be the standard for this council…
@bristoldrivinglessons4534 having driven through on a regular basis now, I find the main issue is the number of traffic lights. Regularly, I find myself watching the wrong set, and many people set off when the wrong set turns green.
@@GrandadIsAnOldMan I think that the basic design is wrong where you have a two lane dual carriageway that becomes three lanes on approach and exit of the throughabout.. this then doesn’t give enough space on the roundabout for the traffic light… they have now put shutters on the green lights trying to fix the issue you and many others have regarding which light to look at.. Then we are held at 30 mph until the three lanes become two some considerable distance after the throughabout where the majority of driver do not observe this but understand the council didn’t want a high speed collision hence the restriction whereas if they had two lanes through the throughabout there would be no need for the speed restrictions and more room on the roundabout part to space the traffic lights..I think it’s poor but used to this from this council.
Regarding the traffic lights you are not alone as this happens daily.. the council should they get government money to modify the test of the ringroad roundabouts in this way should NEVER create a dangerous driving environment but increasing a two lane dual carriageway to three lanes then back to two shortly afterwards.. this is the reason for the 30mph speed restrictions ( in case of a collision which I fully understand but this also reduced the spacing of the traffic lights around the throughabout..Surely they won’t make the same mistake twice !!
Do you need to indicate right the whole time around the roundabout if you are taking the 3rd exit? I know you'd indicate left off the roundabout but I am confused as to whether you have to have your signal on the whole roundabout telling everyone you are going right, I hope this makes sense!
Generally you would signal right on approach and maintain until you get to the second set of lights… now you are in a designated right turn only so could remove the signal but as long as you change the signal / or take it off prior to the third exit this would be fine… hope this helps and thanks for looking
Minute 3:40
Complete rong information on the road.
I just failed my test today, even though I stayed in right hand lane as this video did to go right into shirehampton, he said I should of went into left hand lane and then moved into right hand lane, even though traffic was in left hand lane coming from avonmouth junction on portway. Was I in the wrong?
Can’t really comment as I wasn’t there but the video is correct… sorry for late reply as I found this in the spam folder
