What is the difference between the assistant anaesthesiologist and the anaesthesia technologist?
BIG difference. A tech cleans the equipment, makes sure supplies are stocked, sets up the room as its supposed to be, etc. The assistant has a master's degree in anesthesia, only offered at certain colleges, and under the guidance of the Anesthesiologist, does most things an Anesthesiologist does. $20 / hour vs $200,000 / year.
@@fitbjj Well, I am an anesthesia technologist and hold a bachelor’s degree. Is there a job opportunity for me in the United States or any other country you know?
Hi! I wanted to work as a medical laboratory scientist here
Will this fit 3 car seats in a row?
Thank you! ❤
The 3 ml syringe part is exactly backwards. The smaller the syringe the greater the pressure - not less. Just like the nozzle on a garden hose, if you make it smaller, the pressure goes up. Think about pressure in terms of PSI or pounds per square inch. A larger syringe distributes the force of your hand across a larger area (due to the larger diameter) during drawback and that translates into less PSI. Smaller syringes will collapse a vein, larger ones won't.
In the example given we are drawing blood from a port in an existing IV, so the needle aperture (the "nozzle" in your example, or the "SI" in PSI) remains the same regardless of the size of syringe used to draw blood. A larger syringe can therefore only increase the "P" in PSI, causing an increase in PSI & greater risk of collapsing the vein. TL;DR - a larger hose at the same flow rate attached to the same nozzle increases PSI. The syringe is the garden hose, the needle is the nozzle. I think you're right in the case of drawing directly from the vein with a syringe & needle, where a larger syringe & larger gage needle would produce less PSI, but I am not a medical professional. I do, however, deal with flow rates & pressures in hydrodynamic systems in my day to day work. *EDIT* P.S. Eli Yudin is one of my favorite cracked writers. 😉
@@pwlund Perhaps the garden hose was a bad analogy, but the formula for pressure is the pump's linear force divided by the syringes inner area. Because a 10 ml syringe has a larger diameter, the pressure will be less than a 3 ml syringe, which has a smaller diameter. From here: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21469942/ "Smaller syringes generated significantly more injection pressure than did larger syringes: 1 mL (363 ± 197 psi), 3 mL (177 ± 96 psi), 5 mL (73 ± 40 psi), 10 mL (53 ± 29 psi), 20 mL (32 ± 18 psi), and 60 mL (19 ± 12 psi)."
@@pwlund Perhaps the hose nozzle was a bad metaphor, but the fluid dynamics still hold. The formula here is the linear force divided by the inner area of the vessel, i.e. P = F/ pi x r squared . The force from the hand divided by area (not volume) of the syringe. Larger diameter tubes, pipes, hoses, syringes have less pressure than smaller ones. The good people here have done more specific calculations: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21469942/#:~:text=Results%3A%20Smaller%20syringes%20generated%20significantly,(19%20%C2%B1%2012%20psi). "Smaller syringes generated significantly more injection pressure than did larger syringes: 1 mL (363 ± 197 psi), 3 mL (177 ± 96 psi), 5 mL (73 ± 40 psi), 10 mL (53 ± 29 psi), 20 mL (32 ± 18 psi), and 60 mL (19 ± 12 psi). "
@@pwlund Rest of the response cut off. So here it is. I'm the charge nurse of a medical ICU so this just kinda bugs me. I'm sure Nurse Hannah is very good and means well, but this could, possibly, cause difficulties. Manufacturers of PICC lines state rather specifically that 10 ml syringes are the minimum size specifically because of this issue. A smaller syringe might collapse it when drawing and shorten its useful lifetime. Live veins aren't central lines, of course, but it's not like the laws of fluid dynamics are different between the two. She needs to know she has the physics backwards.
@brianholmes8234 I defer to your experience & expertise with apologies. I thought you were just some shmoe... Turns out *I* was the schmoe! Thank you for taking the time to patiently and compassionately educate me and encourage me to stay in my lane.

A LOOK INSIDE IU HEALTH METHODIST
My Nephew 💜 I always knew he would end up in this kind of role 💜
Thanks so much for this video!!!😶
I love it!
I just installed this seat last night and i used the small anchors and the seatbelt but still didnt feel it was tight enough. I knew there was something i was missing and did not feel comfortable. Thanks. I'll do the seatbelt tighten trick in the morning. My issue should be over. I was almost ready to return the seat
So we aint gonna discuss the factor that the whole "Head" of the seat moves freely? that's safe? like that doesn't seem right at all.
This is what I’m wondering too .. and also what about the anchors it comes with do we just not use them?
Thanks so much this was super-helpful!!❤
hello all ! good to see fellow PT wound specialists here ..anyone took the ABPTS wound specialist this year or thinking of taking it next year ?
3 years from the video and still 100% helpful!!! Safety 1st should send a link to this video in their “manual” that only they understand 😝 thank you!!!
Dr. Mongold and Tom are nothing but the best!

Thank you!!
Thanks so much for taking out the time to make this video. Not all heroes wear capes 👏🏽💛
Thank you, Tiffany ❤
Please re-make this video with the safety clips as part of uniform installation. My father is the president of Integris Bass Hospital in Oklahoma and I am certain that medical professionals would encourage full spectrum safety for newborns, infants, and toddlers. This is not a proper installation technique for a number of reasons, especially in the case of highway collisions or collisions where vehicles flip.
Pipe down
Wrong. You’re not to use the anchors if your child plus car seat are more than 50 lbs TOGETHER
Thank you sooo muchhh
This product suck. Return it.

Honestly i struggled for 20 minutes with the latches then was happily satisfied with this way in 5. They should fire their latch designers and pay you royalties.
