Staten Island 102nd Memorial Day Parade 05/31/21
After a year of controversy scaling back to last year's memorial day parade and this year's permitting process. The borough's 102nd annual Memorial Day Parade which is held along Forest Avenue is back. Staten Islanders lined the streets, restaurants' outdoor dining tables filled and children lined the streets with American flags alongside their patriotic dogs.
Despite the controversies and threats of weather the parade returned in full force this afternoon. The cloudy and brisk weather the morning of the parade had attendees in blankets and sweaters along Hart Boulevard and Forest Avenue.

Mexico was robbed that night. Mexico was a queen and was most eloquent. Puerto Rico was the most eloquent. But she is from New York and she doesn't look like a queen. Mexico was on fire and was the outstanding winner. But she was beautiful. South Africa was not pretty so the all female middle age judges like her. Women hate women.

It seems unfortunately this Miss UNIVERSE event is not about BEAUTY contest anymore, it appears to be more about business transactions with the motive of profit...The way originally started Miss UNIVERSE was to represent the BEAUTY of women and of course with the combination of the good qualities such as EDUCATION, ELEGANCE, Class/REFINEMENT and MOST OF ALL THE EMPHASIS OF BEAUTY.. In my opinion Miss Puerto Rico and Miss Mexico had all these qualities plus the BEAUTY..❤️

Miss South Africa is gorgeous throughout.... That face profile and bone structure, body and her realness is beyond gorgeous. And when she utters.... Diamonds pour out....beauty is definitely in the eyes of the beholder but inspiring beauty like hers captivates all honest human beings.
The show lacks depth and meaning. It tries to play off emotions, but you can only ride the emotional wave for so long. Leslie lewis the producer lacks the basics and fundamentals of putting together a successful show. For people who want to see this show, forget it and save your money. The show was slow and choppy to say the least.
