Very nice, I could use one of these 御休み処 in my garden. The origami suspended to the roof covered with moss are a sweet touch, I would gladly throw in a couple of chimes as well. Loved the 絵馬 tablets, the stone / wooden double 鳥居 and the 賽銭箱 in its worn-out red shrine, so very beautiful and authentic. The more I see from 川越, the more I like it. I've always loved 川越 for its Edo-jidai looks and even more for its history, back to Sengoku-jidai days. The Hōjō were fierce defenders and unequaled castle builders / architects. I assume the events of 1545 are known by all in Japan but thumbs up for spreading the tale of the battle / siege of Kawagoe to those who might never have heard of it. Ever since I heard you tell Japan Explorer you would have liked to live during Sengoku-jidai, I have been dreaming to see that kind of content from you and I have to say that whole 川越 series has more than lived up to my expectations. Had one too back in the days but not nearly as pretty as this one.
