Then change the title to the African diaspora. Because the Melanesians across the South Pacific nations of West Papua, PNG, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Torres Traits and Australia are black and are over 20 million in all, with PNG alone accounting for nearly half of that figure.

Further, the largest population is of mixed Black, White, and/or Indigenous heritage so the result is not surprising. Likewise, Cubans also have an identity crisis. Depending on whom you ask, the majority of Cubans are either Blacks or White.

There is a story of a priests who was asked by Ogun to emigrate to Brazil because the Orixás would continue to be honoured here. The Ooni of Ife regularly visits Brazil and is very well received by people and authorities alike.
