How to add a song into UltraStar Deluxe (Combining txt files)
A short guide on how to use txt files that are freely available on the UltraStar Database.
Combining them into a song folder that UltraStar Deluxe (or any variants) is able to use
UltraStar Database website:
usdb.animux.de/
For Windows OS: the song folder is:
C:/Program Files (x86)/UltraStar Deluxe/Songs
For Linux Flatpak installs... (if ya aint using Flatpak then I don know homie.)
~/.var/app/eu.usdx.UltraStarDeluxe/.ultrastardx/songs/.

Hey - don't laugh....I'm a non techy .....trying really hard to import an original recording (I've converted to MIDI from Mp3) into Ultrastar deluxe .....which I've just installed...on my MacBook Air. Should I just wait for my 16 year old to get home from school and try and do it on his PC?

Not all of them😭. There is a website called Ultrastar Espana. You could 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 create an account there and start downloading whole song folders straight into your UltraStar Deluxe song library. In theory of course 😉

Where do you even get the song files
Most of the text files have an accompanying RUclips video. You should be able to download the audio using a third party app. (Parabolic if you are using Linux, I'm not aware of a safe option for Windows) Edit"** Parabolic recently released a Windows OS version.
