I always shut my door when I have Mark’s videos on because my guitars way to run out of the room when they hear what they should sound like!!., He is one AMAZING GUITARIST! He takes a backseat to no one!! Hearing him play that Strat Fingerstyle just sends shivers up my spine!! WOW ,! Mark I pray you play for another hundred years!

I have been practicing finger style at least 300 days a year. 20 to 40 minutes a practice. I'm getting there. And I only play what comes to me in the moment. I'm a renegade. But a focused renegade. My goal is to Hit chords and notes hard enough and accurate enough to not need a pick for amplification. Practicing 30 or so years.

My brother interviewed Mark Knopfler and said he was the nicest guy he ever interviewed. If I were Knopfler, I fear I wouldn't be a nice guy. If I had been an international superstar since the 70s, had a gazillion dollars and was a world class musician, I'd probably be telling EVERYONE...loudly. Think Rodney Dangerfield in Caddyshack loud. Think drunk Homer Simpson loud. Respect Mark.

its so funny how the old music folk sourcebook credits players like mosie rader or merle travis with this style but ,,everyone plays it diffrently its an alternating pattern then stick with it for 10 more years and when you get tipped its amazing

I have seen Mark live in concert five times. He wrote the soundtrack of my life, and the older he gets, the closer his music comes to my heart. Legend.
