2023 deer hunt - 350 Legend
Testing out the Bear Creek 350 Legend upper on opening day. I'm very pleased with both of Bear Creeks uppers so far. I really like the side charging handle as it makes life so much more easier. I usually reload my own ammo, and actually have the dies to do so, but decided to give Winchesters 160gr Defender ammo a try. I'm happy to say that it did the job perfectly. I really like this upper, and for about $200, you can't go wrong.

TITAN 3 POINT SNOWBLOWER (first big snow)
Просмотров 2,4 тыс.Год назад
We finally got that end of season big storm and now I've had a chance to put the Titan 3 point snowblower to the real test. The snow was heavy and wet underneath with some lighter stuff that blew and drifted on top. It was perfect for putting this new unit to the test of a Michigan winter.

TRYING OUT THE KUBOTA IN THE SNOW & R14 TIRES

Playing with the Kubota 2650 in the snow. I ordered it with the new R14 tires, and so far, they have not disappointed. This is actually the second time I've used it for snow removal, but the video didn't turn out so well and I'm giving it another go. I'm fairly new to this "tractor thing" so don't beat me up to bad if you see mistakes being made. I'm always open to constructive criticism ; )

FTX pushed by Lil' Gun powder This is essentially the same load that you would get if you bought Hornady's off the shelf, and although Hornady won't tell you what their load contains, I did get it confirmed from someone that actually worked their that this is the closest thing to factory. Nice review sir. I'm in the market to get a North Star sprayer, but still torn between the 21 gallon and the 31 gallon sprayer. Some have said to always get bigger when we can but I'm still reviewing. I have almost 1 acre of land that gets crazy weeds and dandelions each spring. I'm hoping this will help along with a nice spray of something (haven't figured what yet) in the summer as a fertilizer. Thanks again for your review. I've heard good and bad about the quality of these sprayers, but the North Star came in the highest as far as what I have reviews so far. I just wish I could see one up close and personal for a gauge of the actual size.

      Hey DH, Thanks for the kind words. I have been using a product from Spectracide called Weed Stop. It does a pretty good job for me. I also spray chelated iron when I want to do an extra green-up once in awhile to make the lawn look extra good if company is coming over. As far as size, If your lawn is flat and you think you need the capacity, go for the bigger one. I'm on 3 acres, but only cut maybe a little over a half acre of fairly hilly terrain. I wouldn't be able to pull the added weight of the 31 gal sprayer up hill without spinning the tires. My son is on 3 acres of flat land and is cutting at least 2 acres. He has to fill the sprayer twice to get the job done.

    • @DHMeister
      @DHMeister 2 года назад

      @@justadbeer Awesome information. I kept reading where charts were showing that the 21 gallon was great for 2 acres. I have just under 1 acre. However, if your son is filling up twice for 2 acres, it seem that it is more suited for one acre. I think I'm going with the 31 gallon sprayer. My land is fairly flat with the exception of getting up on the septic tank, were a lot of the weeds are in the shallow ground. thanks for the recommendation of Spectracide Weed Stop. I can't wait to try it. Now if only someone will come up with a chart that describes how much solution to use so that I don't have to do any math!!! Some of those ust make youj scratch your head and use the TLAR technique. :)

      No guts. you can actually see the first shot in the shoulder as I walk up to it. if you watched the first video (part 1) and read the description, you will see my comment and opinion on the performance of the 50 Beo. Although I like the gun, I am just not that impressed with it's results (at least on deer). A 243 bullet is traveling at almost twice the velocity of the 50 Beo and does a tremendous amount of damage. To compare the two is not reasonable. The wound channel created by a high velocity round such as a 243 is devastating. by comparison, the 50 Beo has less velocity and energy than a 12 ga Hornady SST slug.
