I play a decent tennis, but feeding a ball properly is something really hard to do. I'm still try to learn.

Moving forward is good, always. You could also use continental grip and place the ball then wait for the return, if there is one, at the net.

switching to semi western grip with open stance...from eastern...for serve return...since your take back is already brief...more or less the same set up but just a tad abbreviated? obviously want to be on time so I can still get weight transfer into the balll...

What is 'tilt the racket to the right'? You can certainly describe that better. Why not talk in terms of rotation of the racket in your palm? Clockwise or anti? This is confusing.
