All About Annalynn
Просмотров 10 тыс.2 года назад
If you're coming here hot off the Switch release, this video is from around the 1.3 version of the game, so there's a lot of bonus content I don't talk about as it didn't exist at this time. If you enjoyed the video I'd love to hear, every comment I get means a lot! store.steampowered.com/app/1508460/Annalynn/ cruise-elroy.itch.io/annalynn Sprucelass

This video was supposed to come out a year ago. Whoops. Discord: discord.gg/Jh2EwzR Twitter: Sprucelass
Game's affordable and fun, and the music is a bop. I like it a lot.
Btw, Candy typically tries to ambush Annalynn from above
Someone's eating good tonight.
*ZAMN* 🤪
Not just Pacman, but Mappy with its horizontal platforming and Donkey Kong Jr. with the vertical climbing with the ropes.
You forgot to explain the glitch levels.
Would
0:20 I don't know if you meant "minor miner/miner minor" or specifying "miner miner", but Annalynn is an adult.
Yes, the wiki I looked at incorrectly listed her as 16. Said wiki has since been adjusted.
@@Sprucelass Was it the Summitsphere wiki?
@@keithblevinsgraphics it was something weird like “Super Mario Fangame Wiki” but had a lot of stuff on earlier versions of the game so I assumed it was credible
@@Sprucelass I have absolutely no idea why Annalynn was on a wiki for Mario fangames, but I suggest checking out the Summitsphere wiki. It's way more reliable and has tons of info on Annalynn, despite mostly serving as an Antonblast wiki. It's where I got most of my information (since I try hard to stay away from the heck hole that is Twitter)
Mike is OBVIOUSLY the best of the 4 snakes. Unlike the rest of them, you can tell he's just tired and so done with this crap.
little sneks
"the minor miner" annalynn's 20 in college you nut
did he just say “minor miner” or the other way round
Is she a minor miner who is also a minor or is she just a minor miner
Don’t tell anyone but that joke ended up being based on outdated information, so neither of these are really true :(
I like how mike doesn't wanna hurt you. He just doesn't wanna be there.
this video popped in my recommended and for a whole damn week before i got the game annalynn was stuck in my mind thank you
dynamite anton in the switch port (gone real)
Antonblast
Thank you so much for introducing me to these charming little characters, they are adorable and so very perfect at capturing the 1980s arcade energy
Hotel mario vibes
*UNCLE BEN WHAT HAPPENED* *PURPLE SNAKE SNUSSY*
I'll only play the game as ANTON (give a like if you agree)
Looks really cute but no thanks.
Your loss
How much am I willing to bet you played this because the bad guys are snakes? 😏
Fun Fact: Annalynn actually takes place in the Canadian mines.
How ironic
That is true. The worms are very large and aggressive here.
I liked your review of this game. My minor nickpick of this game is I think it would be cool if Annalynn had the option to jump down from platform (of course only the platform that you can jump through).
OK, so it's not just me who finds Ice Grave far harder than Venom Den 😆 I really enjoy the progression of the boss. It starts with just a simple to avoid attack, then it sends out the robot minions, making it harder to avoid that otherwise simple attack, then the boss gets a much trickier attack pattern while still being chased by the robotic minions, then it gets an even harder attack pattern all while still being hunted down by those robo snakes 😂
I was the Epic Stat Battle guy at 6:34, it was kinda funny, never thought I’d be able to use that impression for anything Practical lol. This was fun!
Cool
*Promo sm* 😣
the rapier avaliable at the start of the game upgrades into a light elemented weapon that you can actually use against the mares quite effectively, leveling some weapons proves invaluable and exploring the areas you've already been too can give you a huge edge in your first play through. also I always follow the go right first rule of dungeons but I won't say everyone does. . . overall you have a lot of valid points and sincerely I hope this game just keeps getting better and better as it goes on.
Just the Rapier or the Steel Needle too?
@@Sprucelass just the rapier, I played the game for the first time, and me being the huge nerd that I am wanted to see if the rapier would give me a back pedal when I blocked and I saw it had an exp bar, so I leveled it up to see what would happen, there’s also a fire sword you get by leveling up a left over cross guard you find in the sewers, the game rewards exploration with gear that is immensely powerful.
Also also the fire sword does work as a torch
Oh
Certain limbs like the hand holding a weapon are tied. So removing those does in fact have an effect. The boss Crilall can have his casting arm removed which stops him from using a few different attacks. Also some enemies will die if their head is removed. One example is the Chimera which has a lion, goat, and snake head which are all tied to different attacks being; physical, magic, and poison.
Hm, I definitely missed that during the boss fight since I obliterated him with the Blessed Wind and fighting him again isn’t exactly easy… I never really experienced that with Chimera either, I was able to remove the snake head quite consistently but not the other two and I found that staying in close quarters made it prefer melee attacks so I never really observed that behaviour in action. I also used the Twisted Staff against vampires for the most part, which quickly dispatches them without giving an opportunity for a limb loss. I found that to be a very common strategy amid other friends who played too so none of them saw that either. This is another instance of where the best examples of a mechanic are only seen at the end of the game or tucked away in a secret. Something as subtle as the crawling mummies not instantly turning to you while headless could go a long way!
I meant for the coffin spell to be used to reach those heights, not 30 dex.
But you wouldn’t have obtained it yet if you went through the forest though? The only ways to access the rest of the area from that side of the gate is those holes in the wall or the Vampire Sword gate, but that has the switch on the other side too.
the forest area states that you probably shouldn’t go in there, but you still can. If I know right usually they expect you to enter from the sanguine sea.
Love the video and yeah I can see where you're coming from to me personally the game always felt like it was trying to be an homage to the original kingsfield games but also tried to innovate new mechanics and designs that don't really blend well leaving it unfulfilled in both aspects and feel like an unfortunately decent but not good game
very stenny thumbnail
I can understand why some people would take issue with the choices made by this game so I'm not knocking your opinions but like... have you played any of the King's Field games? Unfair signposting, level design jank and hidden mechanics are kind of part of the charm, the video is well structured and edited though so I'm not hating here.
My issue with that is that those aspects are simply not present in the areas added post release! The inconsistency is what bothers me more than anything else. I also wouldn’t describe what I talked about as hidden mechanics, but rather a hidden lack of them? Dismemberment especially- it plays a pretty satisfying noise whenever you cut off a limb, which definitely makes it FEEL like you’re doing something when in reality you’re not. I don’t feel that adds anything positive to the gameplay. There ARE some mechanics that could be described as hidden, I didn’t talk about them here because they’d just be needless spoilers for the player. If someone wants to play the game because of my review I don’t want to take that experience away from them! Ultimately, the amount of things that feel inconsistent or unfinished (despite apparently being done) makes it hard to say that this game just isn’t for me- it just reaches that middle ground where it just kind of feels bad, rather than a game that just isn’t for me.
if you're playing a vampire removing a limb actual restores quite a bit of health if that helps, even against the mummies at the start of the game.
@@beastlyfour5481 Interesting! I haven’t met anyone who has played vampire at all, otherwise I would’ve mentioned it.
@@Sprucelass vampires and undead also get a free pass to enter the doors of the castle of the game, as it’s a vampire castle, and undead also pretty much resist everything in that area too. It’s fun.
Great video!
Great Video
Good video!
Yo you dead
The final boss seems more similar to the final boss of Pac-Man Arrangement. Both are giant mechs resembling and piloted by all four enemies, both are damaged by collecting the main collectable, and both summon small robot enemies that act like the normal enemies.
haha. snake.
Will this is putis man you are a sussy baka
