For the last d note you used your pinky instead of the ring finger. Why? I mean your reach should easily suffice to fret the last c note with your index finger followed by the d note played with your ring finger, right? Or is that some kind of trick?
I teach both ways, if you’re a beginner guitar player I recommend the ring (3rd) finger it really helps when reading music. However when learning to finger pick we use the pinky more to play that d note. For example the dust in the wind intro uses the 4th finger often on d. The concept with this exercise is to develop your technique for finger picking. Thank you for your comment!
