This is a video of the last step of getting the Martin Mars water bomber in to Sprout Lake from the Coulsons water bomber base. The aircraft has beeching gear (a set of bolt on wheels) attached that will be removed once it's in the water. A custom tug equipped with winches moves it to the top of the ramp before lowering it to the water. Another winch line attached to the bow that goes offshore ...

Quando estava ficando bom acabou.
what is the sound before the start? Like a siren or something? it sounds cool
Oh man. Why does it sound so freaaaaakin' awesome! As @kristenburnout1 says, I also do like that whoop right after ignition. I met this engine on Paracentrum Eelde-Hoogeveen, The Netherlands. I was fascinated by the noise! I thought, wait, that can't be a piston engine, I need to know more!
Iguess this is a Bell 210, not a 205!
+Benedikt Saurer It's a 205A1+++ From the website: "Our Bell 205A-1+++ has been upgraded with the Bell 212 nose assembly and fully integrated Sagem glass cockpit. These modifications ensure that this aircraft will remain technologically viable for years to come. It boasts the Dash 17 engine, 212 rotor system, strake kit, fast fin and can also be configured with auxiliary fuel tanks for increased range."
Hi Greg ! Do you know the registration of this 205 ? It's amazing, i've never seen before a bell 205 with a such of cockpit !

Am I the only person who thinks but it sounds very similar to the engine start of a bell jet ranger? :) it sounds very good to me after all
Yes, and it is because it is exactly that engine ;). It is a conversion to put the Jetranger engine in a Cessna 206.
Thank you for posting this! What switch are you holding with your left hand?
Looks like the starter
The company that makes the conversions to turbines
gotta love that hummm as she spools up haha, what exactly is that?
I believe that is the fuel being introduced into the engine. I don't know why it makes the hum, but I'm pretty sure it's the fuel.
Jizzed in my pants
turbine 206? wow
does this have a high and low idle?
What's Soloy?
I'll swap you jobs. You take my 747 and I'll take your 206. It works for me!
@GregHowardPhoto for a million dollar 206 I think they should use Aerocets. just my 2 cents.
i love the WOOOOP sound when the engine ignites.
Is this a 206? Wow!
@cumhumphr I looked it up, basic Soloy conversion starts at 619K, assuming you already have the Stationair. A guy can dream huh?
Wow that's a sweet-sounding bird. I would kill for this aircraft, put it on Wipaire amphibs and splash around from lake to lake. Oh yeah baby!
gotta love that sound!!!! :)
PILOT IS PILOT
Very nice!
Music to my ears. How much does a turbine conversion cost?
