I want yall to understand something. The engineer throwing all those switches in the cab? He’s ACTUALLY driving the train. Well I mean not literally, it’s animated obviously, but what I mean is those random switches and valves he’s throwing are real controls in the cab of a torque steered a 436,500lb steam powered; coal furnaced locomotive… and he’s using them 100% correctly in this scene. Do y’all realize that means the only reason they survived this wasn’t because of Santa magic, but because of the sheer hogging skills of the two rednecks in the cab? I don’t know what’s more mind boggling, the fact they drifted the train across a lake or the fact the animators found a way to make it somehow look realistic 😂
