The cooking time depends on the type of rice. Once the pressure builds up, the red indicator will turn on. You may then turn off the flame and wait for the red indicator to turn off before opening the lid. Alternatively, you can cool the cooker under running water to open the lid earlier if you believe the rice is cooked.

So no matter what food Is inside when the red indicator turns red I should turn off?
