Chuzhao Facebook Ad Digital Camera

I’ve always wanted a TLR digital camera and when I saw this ad on Instagram and Facebook, I knew that I’d have to bite the bullet and buy this little toy camera. Please understand this is a toy camera. You can’t really adjust anything on it. It’s very confusing to understand how to do different operations on it so if you buy this, you should have very low expectations, but I do think this camer...

I'm borrowing a 70-200 f2.8 from Sigma USA for a long term test. In my first weekend I was fortunate to be assigned to cover 4 basketball games in 2 days. It was a great first weekend to get used to the lens for games that matter. I'm a full time photographer/videographer for the newspaper in Williamsport Pennsylvania and I've been shooting professionally for about 30 years, most of my assignme...

Together they lead a quiet life as artists that they both describe as “blissful.”
SLR Magic 35mm f1.2 Cine lens-I love it.

I’m really enjoying the SLR magic 35 mm F1.2 lens that I recently got. I’ve been using it on my Sony a7cR to shoot photos and video for a documentary I’m working on about my dad and this combination has been a lot of fun to use and for me it’s been the right combination I think for this project. This lens might not be right for everybody, but if you need a good quality solidly made cinema lens...
Sony a7rC Sports Video
Просмотров 34Месяц назад
A series of highlights from my last football game of the year for my newspaper. I shot this with the a7cR and Zeiss Batis 40mm & 200-600 Sony for the action clips. We do highlight videos for most football games. I'm still learning to shoot action video with the Sony gear. This camera isn't known to be a "video" camera as such but it's up to the task for sure!
a7cR for Sports?
Просмотров 203Месяц назад
You hear lots of "photographers" on RUclips tell you this camera can't do this, or this camera can do that. Well don't listen to them! Any camera can pretty much do anything! Take the a7cR for example, while it may not be the best choice for sports, it's MORE than capable!

I got to borrow a Sigma 500mm lens for a few days and I got it out to a high school football game. My thoughts about this lens are in this video. I used it with my Sony a9ii and a Sony a7rV too (that was borrowed from Sony). Thanks to Sigma for the use of the lens and to Hoyers for their support. Hoyersphoto

Hi I came across your channel with this review. I'm thinking of getting this Sigma for my A7 III but my first choice is the is the Sony 70-200 GM, have you had experience with that and compare it with this Sigma? Thanks.
@@flat-out I own the Sony 70 to 200 GM 2.8 lens which is much much better than this and pretty much every way. I’ve used the first version of the Sony 2.8 GM lens and it’s also better. I think it’s probably about the same weight. The image quality may be better on the Sigma, but frankly, I think even the first version of the Sony lens is probably better, but of course I’m talking about a used price. The sigma I think is a great lens. If you don’t have the money for the Sony version of the newest one or the Sony version of the first version Two.
turn your hat around
I do when im shooting horizontally
what af tracking sensitivity do you use? This lens misses a lot of shots for me when doing sports
Wish you’d post an Amazon affiliate link so I could support the channel AND get the right item. lol
I have this lens in my kit and like it although for basketball I use my Tamron 35-150. The negatives you discussed are pretty much exactly what I thought as well. Overall it’s a fantastic lens for the money though:
Thanks so much Dave.
Thanks for watching!
You should get a tripod so you can use both hands.
not a possibility when you're shooting events.

Dave thanks for posting. I briefly tried this lens and it's a very good lens though TBH after you use a 70-200 f2.8 GM II it's so hard to use anything else....
I know exactly what you mean. Since I have the Sony it's hard not to compare the two. The Sigma is certainly a great, sharp lens.
how’d you end up shooting highschool basketball? niche subject sorta
@@weekendblast1806 I work for a newspaper so nearly all the what I shoot these days is high school sports during the summers. I do shoot for a minor-league baseball team. I’m the team photographer for the team in addition to shooting sports for the newspaper and also we cover the Little League World Series every year.
I have that lens (F mount) in my kit. Curious to know your impressions.
Give it a joystick and the a7r5 screen and we have a nearly perfect camera…..
Absolutely beautiful!
Beautiful expressions! As I was watching, I was wishing and hoping that I could find a path even slightly as wonderful but my doubts immediately became loud. In that instant, you brought up your struggles with doubt. I hope that was the universe’s way of reassuring me maybe! I hope I can find an Ira of my own in at least the supportive capacity. I’m pretty lost but I do have giant amounts of hope. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and your work and promoting inspiration! Much love to you both ❤
6:00 they have made the video version with 12mp, look up Sony zve1
can we use slim phone case do you reckon?
Not in this rig. You have to use the insert it comes with.
ZVE1 would be the video version of that camera. a7siii/fx3’s little brother.
How is the background with the slower lens. I am trying to decide between this and the 300 2.8.
The difference is about $3000 between this and the 300 to 8 Sony so it’s not really much of a comparison if I had the money I would buy the 300 mm Sony but frankly this lens is good for most field sports applications although probably not as good as the Sony.
I have a Sony A7c mark i and was initially scared off by people stating how dire the EVF was. Yes, it’s not the best; very small and not a very large eyecup. I have, however, come from the likes of the Lumix GX85 and that has a field sequential EVF. That really is a challenge for my eyes. The A7cii improves on the first model and is par for the course, i would say with its resolution and magnification. Do i wish it was 3 million plus dots? Yes, but i find it very usable and quickly just crack on with taking photos. Sticking small primes on these cameras for travel and street is where it’s at for me. Great video; thankyou.
Thanks very much
Fantastic review , I just have one question , which one to pick between this and a7iv the price difference is 10$ only . (90% photo +10 % video )
Probably the a7iv because it’s more versatile
Thanks so much for watching and commenting
Just make sens when you are a photographer and not a trigger squeezer.
I used mine for football when visiting La Palma island in the Canaries. Local team gracious enough to learn me shoot pitchside and even welcomed me over the PA. Got some pretty good results with the 70-200.
very cool, sounds like it was a fun shoot!
Nice work, thanks Dave
Great video!! Thanks Dave!!
@@michaelkim7614 thanks so much! We need to catch up soon.
I have been using my A7CII for 8 months now. I absolutely love it. The EVF isn't completely terrible, I can still work with it. My only real negative about the camera is the grip. I shoot automotive photography, and it works great for that.
I see you are back to the Sony zoom ? What happened to the Sigma. Which do you prefer ?
The Sigma was a loaner from Sigma USA. I do prefer the Sony 200-600 because it's more versatile. More Sigma videos in the new year BTW!
How do you feel about the aperture on the zoom? Don’t you want a wider aperture?
@ I very much do! But I can’t afford any option. The 300 Sony is 6,000.00 I can’t afford that.
@ so I don’t have a choice.
where you get it please lmk thanks
I bought directly from Smallrig.com
If it somehow would offer 4K at 100/120 fps, then it would be the perfect camera for me. Now it's just "almost perfect", haha. Good review! 👍
thanks yeah I get it. It's a catch all camera. I don't think it's perfect, and I now own the a7cR which isn't perfect either BUT I do find the cR quite inspiring to use. I'll do a video on it soon.
I have a Canon 5d mrk4 ... I want to switch for low light video and stills.... but I still don't know which to get A7iv , Fx3 or Cii because I want to do both.... suggestions please
@@yngfireman do you shoot mostly video or stills?
@kennedyphotography1469 I am almost 50/50..... and that's the problem. Lol
Works great if the light is constant, as you say.
@@alansach8437 I shoot manually in all light.
Thanks for the working pro perspective! The only two things that are kind of holding me back is the lack of joystick (I am so used to using it since years with the A7IV - and the A7III before) and the one card slot for paid work although the Sony Tough cards I use seem to be very robust and stable with writing data.
@@_rhapsodist thanks for watching! I have felt more comfortable with my choice to get an a7rC. One card slot hasn’t been an issue and I’ve worked around different button layout. It’s easier than you think to get into a new way of doing the same thing with different buttons.
Thanks Dave, Cheers
Thanks David.
Thank you for your video, deciding between A7c11 or A7cr. Think you have sold me on the A7 c11. Cheers David
So to confuse you even more... I just got the a7cR (I got a deal I could not pass up on marketplace). It has more resolution BUT i don't see too much benefit for my use since 99% of the time I'm posting online or for newsprint. And for that the a7cR is WAAAAYYYYYY too much. The a7cii is perfect I'd say.
The hat is even nicer than the glass. 😉
@@sambosplace lol thanks brother
Sony ZV-E1 has no viewfinder but the Sony A7S3 is what you may want instead. No it doesn't have the AI Autofocus feature but is a good hybrid for video and stills plus great in low light situations. You can buy used and they are still good. Cheers!
Thanks Randall. I got a deal on marketplace for an a7cR. It's so good. I'll do a video soon.
What about garbage screens and ackwardly small grip compared to huge ff glass? Its nowhere near perfect.
you have one? The screens are fine. The grips is fine (I have the Smallrig grip) and I have smaller hands. ... sorry to burst your anger.
Actually, after owning this camera for a bit, I realized you can just hold the FF glass, if it's huge, and that stabilizes the camera better anyway. It's a much more secure grip and a better way to stabilize the shots. The screen is not a big issue. The results are amazing and that's what counts.
@@reyjes agreed! Now that I've used my own a7cR for a few months I've gotten used to the new layout and find the differences quite inspiring. Thanks for the reply and thanks for watching!
Try, rent if you have to, the ZV-E1. You will find it an amazing piece of work, the perfect video centric compact camera. Picture wise, it makes great images. Keep in mind that it is only 12mp, but for newspaper work, it is more than enough. My days working for military base newspapers, back in the 80s, we used Tri-X. If newspapers work with Tri-X, they certainly can work with a photo from a 12mp sensor. I have the A7CR, the high-res version and it is a good and easy camera to use. Though, I think my a6700 is even easier. Both bodies are so close to being the same size that I often reach for the A7CR and grab the a6700 instead. Either camera is excellent and each produce excellent images.
I got a deal on marketplace for an a7cR and I pounced. I'll do a video soon,
A7Ciii will have the grip of the a6700, better evf and 4 way tilt. Watch
Are you kidding? Only one feature at the time! It's only way
I can see your problem, because you are a left eye user. I really do like the design with the EVF in the corner, but I do wish the EVF was like my Sony A7RV, because I use manual focusing 99% of the time, that leads to the next flaw, the missing joystick, so the next gen of A7CIII and A7CRII must have a much better EVF and a very good joystick, I do not mind a much smalle back side screen which I rarely use ! Spoken by a a photographer with 45 years of photography both as a professional and as a hobby photography, with all kinds of camera gear and all kinds og photography genres, so I am not a youtube "hipster".
I'm a right eye user.
Good camera, good revie, subbed👍
I recently bought an A7C2 and the fact that the camera looks more inconspicuous than typical "full"-body models is one of the major advantages, as is the mentioned fact that there is less separation between oneself and other people when looking through the EVF. Although I have to admit that I am near-exclusively a display shooter anyway, which is why went for the A7C2. I find that display shooting (in combination with the A7C2's low weight and the excellent 7-stop IBIS) gives me much more freedom for composition.
Really Cool! i was at the little league world series 2 years ago! if you like to watch baseball i say it is a must to go one time.
