Reviving A Neglected Church Floor: Years Of Dirt Finally Gone!
We aggressively stripped and waxed this church floor that hasn't been professionally done in years !
We stripped each section down 3 times to remove all the wax unfortunately the tile floors had been damaged in the main traffic areas. I put down a metallic interlocking floor finish so it can withstand the amount of wear due to foot traffic.

As a beginner, is it fine to just clean the floor, without sealing or waxing?
@@williamgillespie8019 hi William thanks for the question . Is the floor in bad shape ? And is there any wax left on it ? Cleaning is good for normal maintenance to keep the floor clean but if it’s in need of attention cleaning alone won’t don’t much needs to be stripped down .
@@williamgillespie8019 most waxes have sealers in them in this particular job i added a sealer because these floors were in bad shape .
@@thesteammaster2737 okay I will keep watching videos to keep learning. going to get an orbek orbiter for new year.

So you rinse with water to neutralize the floor? This prevents any residue?

I heard that these machines can overheat. Do you know if this is true?
I haven’t heard anything on that I bought this machine used and it was already in worn condition and it lasted us almost 4 years
What flooring is this parquet?
@@thepurdychannel8866 Hi Purdy thanks for watching . No it’s red brick flooring tiles 🧱
@thesteammaster2737 really nice what machines and chemical did you use. a scrubber dryer? And a burnisher
@@thepurdychannel8866 thank you . I used a 175 scrubber with a very strong stripper that I bought from a local supplier ( his store brand ) a few coats of sealer and 5 coats wax . These floors are not meant to be waxed but they client wanted it and likes it waxed .
at the place that I work at we clean floors like this but instead of an orbital scrubber we use a chariot 2 iscrub 20
Nice how you like it ? Those things are expensive but definitely a lot quicker . I use to use a similar one at the school I worked at made it easier
@@thesteammaster2737 yeah they're really nice machines I would personally recommend getting one honestly
If I get a lot more floor work I would definitely look into it . I got a few big walk behinds but rarely even use them unless it’s massive but I’d rather stand up and zip around lol
@@thesteammaster2737 being able to stand vs walk is a night and day difference personally my favorite chariot is the Tennant t350
Seriously way better just stand and zip around so much easier . We had an older model at the school I worked at it but some days I wish I had one for myself . Brand new one is 15k plus if I can find one similar on market place for hell of a lot less I’ll buy it
Whats the difference between this ultra and xl?

what kind of pads or brush do you use so not to damage the epoxy coating?
I use this brush right here . It’s softer bristles a.co/d/09X138Ls
Ok, thanks, title on Amazon is confusing as it says carpet. Going to buy it and use it on epoxy floor that has black marks. Ph neutral should be good, right? It's not soiled heavily. It's just old with many scratches, Wear, and dirt sitting deep.
@@Mssuperclean you’re welcome , yeah it’s says carpet but you can use it in floor it’s not rough at all . I would use something stronger , I use tmf grout master cleans up pretty good but if your on a budget some Zep heavy duty degreaser should work to help break the dirt down and use a wet and dry vac to suck it up . The issue I have with epoxy is it pools up dirt in sections just got to keep on rinsing and sucking with the dry vac .
Thank you sir! Decreaser won't damage the epoxy? I was told not to use harsh chemicals on epoxy...
@@Mssuperclean You’re welcome it shouldn’t as long as you don’t go crazy with it but test a little on in an inconspicuous area and see how it does .
What kind of wax and how many coats
Hi Daniel we used hard as nails from betco and we put I want to say 5-6 coats down
what brush did you use on this job(hard Floor)
I used the black brush the originally comes with the oreck . It’s on Amazon for like $20 bucks I believe
Let’s say I was to clean a restaurants kitchen with this, would using this machine on the floor once a week harm the tile or should I space it out on how often I use it
You can definitely use it , it wouldn’t harm it on tile . Me personally I would use a big 175 cause it’s a lot larger and heavy especially in the kitchen area just because of the grease but you could use the oreck just will take longer to scrub . I would use it until it’s all cleaned up then Maintain it with your standard cleaning until it’s time to use it again periodically.
That was an excellent clean and refinishing job. I'm in Atlanta and I would love to know what product you put on those floors? Keep up the excellent work. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Ernest 🙏. Glad to see my videos are reaching the east coast . I used sheen coating from Truckmount Forums finish em line . Here is the link shop.truckmountforums.com/products/finish-em-lvp-lvt-sheen-coating Thank you again for the kind words
How do you apply the shine product and is a sealer I imagen ?
Hi Handy Honey the product I used was truckmount forums sheen coating from there new finish em line . It’s an acrylic based sealer/ protector made for lvp . This one is the sheen version , they also have satin as well . I used a microfiber applicator mop to put this down .
Hi, will this machine get tough stains out of my kitchen tile floor? Please advise. Thank you - John
Thanks for reaching out . It can definitely help with the right cleaning product . If the stains are in the grout it can be permanent sometimes depending on what it is because grout is porous. Is it ceramic or porcelain tile?
@@thesteammaster2737 It is laminate tile. So kind of you to answer.
@@musicvideos1846 my pleasure 😃. If you do buy the orbiter and you use it on laminate I would recommend the white pad it’s less abrasive and you can just use a neutral floor cleaner . They also have laminator plus not sure if you have used or heard of it . They sell a kit for your own floors . You do not need a machine you can use the deep scrub and apply a protective coating and it’s a lot cheaper than buying the orbitor . Hope this helps please feel free to ask away

Is this good enough for like dumpster pad and driveway concrete cleaning, ive been trying to get into cleaning concrete floors but unfortunately dont have a strong enough pressure, will this bad boy work as well as a pressure washer surface cleaner, say using this oreck orbital with a good degreaser and a mild pressure washer to rinse etc will it do in dumpster concrete and driveways etc?
Hi Raul I clean concrete floors but always with a standard 175 . I’m not even sure it will make a dent on a driveway with the orbitor I’ve never attempted it , you could try it out but I don’t think there’s enough weight to it . Not sure if you already own one but I’m assuming you don’t but if your going to buy one check out Facebook marketplace place and get a scrubber (175 ) used if your going to be doing driveway etc . I would try it out with what you suggested a degreaser then pressure wash it after and see how it comes out but I would definitely get a standard 175 they weigh about 80 lbs and hit it with an aggressive brush then blast it out cause you’ll be there all day with an orbitor . Do you have or tried using a surface cleaner ground washer ? Attached to your pressure washer as well . Hope this helps man . Sorry for the late reply just seeing this as yt hides most comments for some odd reason I have to keep searching for comments . Let me know how you make out or need recommendations on strong degreasers or anything else I can help out man .
@@thesteammaster2737 i have heard of the surface cleaners but however I have a 2400 psi pressure washer with 2.5 gpm and I was told that won't be good enough for concrete driveways or dirty dumpster pads and most surface cleaners need a high psi 4000 and 4.0gpm minimum, this is why I was wondering if the orbitor will help because it's really cheap etc, I will look into a 175, and one more question will the orbitor be good to use as a budget setup for cleaning restaurant floors or just indoor floors like your doing in the video etc, thinking about going that route first to make the money to get real equipment, now I have a wet dry vacmaster 8gallon vacuum for the water and the mild pressure washer and strong degreasers etc, so will the orbitor be great for that? I don't have the money at all rn to upgrade to a better pressure washer and get a surface cleaner or a 175 etc, was hoping I can get a orbitor and make some kind of money with it
Yeah definitely won’t help if you need that much psi . If you can snag the orbitor cheap or the 175 cheap then I would go for the bigger scrubber vs the orbitor but don’t break the bank either , if the orbiter is something that won’t really hurt you financially then definitely grab it just it will take a long time to scrub but any agitation is better then none at all . You could use it to do floor jobs but if you come into contact with very greasy floors in restraunts it will definitely be a challenge. I use the orbitor all the time for residential jobs such as wood floor cleaning and it works great and in this video I wanted to see how well it would clean on epoxy floors and it did a good job for the most part , you can definitely do commercial with it but depending on how bad it is and how big it is it will take you awhile . I know the feeling man don’t go crazy on equipment get what works for your budget and especially having the wet and dry vac is a start for sure. If you use any form of advertising to get work with your pressure washing end of it Facebook can work great to get residential leads and get some money coming in . Commercial is a whole different breed on the cleaning aspect of it
Thanks for the video. Looking to invest in some tools for a family businese. Your review will really help.
Hey Shawn glad it was helpful and thanks for tuning it out. Congrats on getting a family business going . I can definitely point you in the right direction. Are you going strictly janitorial or carpet cleaning as well .
Thank you for information it was very helpful. Which one overall is best strictly for odor removal that doesn't take long
You’re welcome and thanks for watching . My go to is Unchained , works the fastest, especially on cat urine .
Nice work
Thank you Sir
good content. I am new to tile stripping and waxing. You only do tile stripping when old wax is on the floor already? What if there's no wax on the floor you still do it?
Hey Shevaughn Thank you and thanks for watching . We also strip new tile as well . New vct usually has a coating on it but mostly it’s stripped off ( not as in depth as removing old wax ) but usually a light strip should do then apply 4-6 coats of new wax on .
@@thesteammaster2737 best way is use 3M SPP and either water or neutral cleaner no stripper needed saves time and money. Also for deep scrub try Medama with SPP pad. Removes up to 3 or 4 coats..😊😊
