No nearly all sources of leech ingame are based on physical attack and charged staff is ele damage (lightning)

It is similar, the main difference is our survive-ability layer being energy shield leech. I think generally speaking Chayula has more defensive strategies vs Invoker

​@@humblehazard too bad it doesn't work because chayula doesn't have any physical skills to take advantage of it. If you're freezing things then you're not doing phys damage to even leech. Herald of ash doesn't count as phys damage it's overkill dmg converted to ignite that literally does nothing because you can't scale ash atm for some reason. In it's current state no matter what you throw on chayula you're not actually playing chayula you're just pretending to be an invoker. I've tried everything in the world to make chayulas mechanics work and it's not possible. Phys dmg scaling is non existent. The whole class is scuffed until we get those skills that are "coming soon". Let's just pray that they're for chayula and not just more broken crap for invoker.

@@dirrtyduckk3179 Actually leeching with tempest bell works like a treat even with ice strike, also you still have 20% of phys dmg from ice strike to maintain mana with leech (not great for the shield leech but stops us needing mana pots). That being said I do think some of the ascendancies could use a buff, I find myself struggling to pick what to spend my last 2 points in. Also I really hope the un-released skills play more into the physical side / possibly chaos side for chayula

@@humblehazard That's just with the bell. I understand that since that's where most of my leech comes from as well. But again like i said I want to play chayula not ice invoker. Another thing I find odd is there aren't any fire staff skills. Right now chayula is just knock off invoker. Also invoker has way more defensives. They actually get some phys damage reduction just from evasion. They also have access to meditate. Im sure GGG will fix it and give us some skills that are usable. Using cold dmg or lightning damage is the only thing usable on monk atm and doesn't play into the theme of chayula. When they nerf herald of ice monks gonna be in trouble.

@@dirrtyduckk3179 yeah one thing I do find weird is we have an incomplete tri ele circle on the tree it has a ice/lightning main nodes but only smaller ignite notes branching off would be nice to get some fire going properly

I agree :) though I think aug/transmutes can be huge on gear your seeking, i've 'crafted' quite a few 2-5div items just from picking up stuff I needed and being smart about what to exalt then selling it if it isn't for my build - the main thing I remember being a high ES +minion skill helm with some other solid stats selling for 5div.

It's funny you suggest that I was thinking of doing a quick magic find short next but I can tell you from experience 130+ magic find is very noticeable, a lot of raw currency drops and rares

I am using a level 4 herald of ash it takes less than 30 strengh but still gives 17ish% over kill dmg

@@humblehazard thx, finally found it. Trying autoattack for now instead of ice strike for mana leech (its surprisingly good).

wait really? so its like the only way to cheese no hit sanctum runs? :P other than that i hate chayula monk tbh ... if you could at least scale the extra chaos dmg flame duration with skill duration it might have saved the chayula monk for me, i wanted to build around it, but you cant ... so its pretty much all shit

I have tested it is working, I don't recharge energy shield because of Consuming questions and i've tested single hits with ice strike and also big aoe hits from the bell both work, the ice strike leech is very small though because of only using 20% of physical damage.

I get that. Maybe it's working on PC, but for sure not on console. I've tried all physical attacks and the bell. No leeching. If it's working for you, I'm glad. Build looks good. Wish I could use Ash, but not enough strength.

@@hellsgate4066 Do you have leech on your gear? Skill nodes only add to the base but you need a base from gear. I have really low strength too you can get a level 4 ash with around 30 str on and it still gives you 17% of overkill damage as fire damage aoe

I'll have to look into the gear. Didn't think about the gear being a base. This changes everything if that's the case.

I agree, Invoker seems stronger but I went chayula before realising I couldnt respec so just went with it - ended up being a lot of fun.

Imo chayula is more of a commodity ascendancy, while invoker is just raw pure power without that extra comfort chayula offers

Same situation here stuck with chayula.. i tried with leech wasn't worth it.. i swapped to into breach used shock siphon with charge stuff and didn't feel any difference and didn't miss leech

chayula = free chaos resistance = less chaos resist on equip... 🎉

@@MadDogBeats6681 if you go CI anyway, which most endgame monks probably do, its also a wasted ascendancy slot

I think it's weapon damage, conversions should work fine. That's why he is using a physical dmg weapon.

thats right, but ice strike converts 80% oh physical damage to cold so were left with 20% physical damage to keep our mana sustained generally, main leech comes from bell.

Upgrade weapon, use critical hit, find weapon with + melee skill

@humblehazard Yeah i mean moreover its not easy to just swap to a new gem as it will be back to just 2 slot. Not alot of ppl have greater and perfect orbs to spare.

Yeah true I shouldve explained a bit more in the video, what I did when I had mana issues was lesser jewelers + corrupt until I had another 4 socket for my testing

Don't. This build will work even better on Invoker. The leech is not good and bosses have even more leech resistance. I played chayula and unspecced leech nodes they don't work in practice as numbers are to low.

@@adrianx8243 Agree, Invoker with this build works a lot better. Chayula was meant to be for chaos-based builds i thought. OP, give invoker a try next time.

try to get 2 breach rings with 10% mana leech from phys dmg.it helps me a lot

Ah damnit, i'm using ghost dance with vitality precision and cannibalism but I respecced slightly and it isn't on for the video - Ill look into herald of ash though I can probably lose some of my aura supports

Reworked some stuff and feels super nice with herald of ash
