(which is the non-fiction -- though often mytho-symbolic -- equivalent of reading "Finnigan's Wake". Perhaps Pope Benedict XVI explained Modernism best by calling it the Dictatorship of Relativism" and the "culture of death" . I think most would agree that nothing about today's society, politics and culture in 2024 would surprise Mr McGoohan.

I'm french, and I first watch The Prisoner - on a black and white television, with voices dubbed - when I was a teen in the seventies... Now I can watch it with the original voices and colors, and it's still my favorite television series... There is so much you can find in each episode every time you watch it... It's like a dream, or a tale... And so visionary! I don't know if Patrick MacGoohan met Philip K. Dick, may be they're having good times together where they are now...

In the closing episode I've seen no6 doesn't walk into the house with the butler, but clearly jumps into his car and leaves. That changes completely the meaning as described here by McGoohan. Are there several cuts of the ending?

They even carry info on the twice yearly free Central London location tours, as well as occ tours of Elstree+Borehamwood (just north of London: the UK's Hollywood) where most of the show was filmed. (The N W Wales village of Portmeirion was only used for 2 " shoots".)...BCNU...

I have seen various interviews of McGoohan, and I’ve noticed he’s a verbal chameleon. Born in NY raised in Ireland and England, sometimes with all those influences your accent as a tinge of all three. But I’ve noticed he can change accents on command. I saw an interview of him speaking with an Irish accent, the other English like most of his acting roles, and now this reminds of a transatlantic north eastern US accent. It’s as if Manhattan and London met on a rainy day.
