The gifts of the Holy Spirit (prophecy, tongues, interpretation of tongues, miracles, and distinguishing of spirits which is in 1 Cor. 12:10) cannot happen today. These powerful gifts were given ONLY to the apostles and the early church. The only reason these gifts were given was to convert people and show them that Jesus was the Christ and that the new law was going into effect. The early church needed this special boost so that the gospel could be spread to everyone. 1 Corinthians 13:8-10 tells us that these gifts will come to pass away. Verse 10 says when the perfect comes the partial will be done away with. When Gods full revelation for man was complete (The Bible), then there would be no need for these gifts anymore. After revelation was written there was no need for spiritual gifts anymore because we have the inspired, true, and perfect word of God that tells us anything and everything we need to know.

No church in the nt used instruments, the Bible leads closer to not using instruments rather than using them (Ephesians 5:19 singing and making melody in your heart; not playing instruments), and we are not supposed to add to the Bible (Revelation 22:18), and if God did really want us to use instruments in worship then I’m certain that he would have put it in the New Testament.

The following statement is taken from the MacArthur Study Bible. MacArthur: 1 Thess. 4:17 caught up. After the dead come forth, their spirits, already with the Lord (2 Cor. 5:8; Phil. 1:23), are now being joined to resurrected new bodies (see notes on 1 Cor. 15:35-50); the living Christians will be raptured, lit. “snatched away” (cf. John 10:28; Acts 8:39). This passage, along with John 14:1-3 and 1 Cor. 15:51-52, forms the biblical basis for “the rapture” of the church. The time of the rapture cannot be conclusively determined from this passage alone. However, when other texts such as Rev. 3:10 and John 14:3 are consulted and compared to the texts about Christ’s coming in judgment (Matt. 13:34-50; 24:29-44; Rev. 19:11-21) at the end of a seven-year tribulation, it has to be noted that there is a clear difference between the character of the “rapture” in that there is no mention of any judgment, while the other texts feature judgment. So then, it is best to understand that the rapture occurs at a time different from the coming of Christ in judgment. Thus, the rapture has been described as pre-tribulational (before the wrath of God unfolded in the judgments of Rev. 6-19). This event includes complete transformation (cf. 1 Cor. 15:51-52; Phil. 3:20-21) and union with the Lord Jesus Christ that never ends.

Nobody has ever committed the unforgivable sin at this time. It can only be committed when Satan is here on earth as the false Christ. When the elect are delivered up to allow the Holy Spirit to speak through them at that time, if they were to refuse the Holy Spirit from speaking through them, that is unforgivable. That is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit (Mark 13:9-11, Luke 12:10-12)

No one has every committed the un pardonable sin. Jesus never said the pharisees committed the un pardonable sin; he literally warned them they were in danger of committing the sin. Tired of the devel using this as a method to stray people away from Jesus Christ.

Hallelujah. If a church wants to not have instruments then its fine. But no where in the Bible it says no Instruments.

OMG!!! This is so Sad because when a Minister doesn't have an understanding of scripture then they lead many a stray. What he's talking about is completely different from one praying in tongues in their own prayer time which the book of Jude encourages us to do than from a person speaking in tongues in the congregation and no one is present to interpret. God wants both of these activities to take place in the body of Christ because each is necessary and have their place.

My mind purposely thinks blasphemy and i have ZERO IDEA on how or on what to do. Please i need to stop my mind, and sometimes i would sin and would repent later. I also just don't feel conviction and i do have ignored repentance. Please i trully belive i have done the unforgivable sin and now i'm not forgiven. I just want to get my thoughts away from me, but i would also not care about the thoughts because i woukd feel no repentance or conviction. Church should be a hospital for the sick in Spirit. Unfortunately, most modern-day churches of today inflict pain and illness on thousands of people due to the twisted gospel they believe. To know the true Gospel, you must know the author and finisher of your faith. Love is the author and finisher of our faith. Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith. He said Himself on the cross that day. It is finished. He took it upon Himself to be the author and finisher of our faith. There is nothing we can do to add or take away from the salvation Jesus gave the whole world on that cross. To preach anything else is to deny Jesus and the sacrifice He made for the whole world.
