Looking For Pinball | Hulda Crooks

May The 4th Be With You. We hit Hulda Crooks today (Loma Linda) and lost our way looking for Pinball, we've never hit this trail before today. Like any new trail out there it's a shock to the senses and fun at the same time. We also ran through Sith, and Outlaw. We had missed Pinball by a whole hour, spent some good time chasing donkeys till we found our way back. Hell of a ride.

Bumped into the legendary trail master himself the other day and he mentioned this "Three Falls" trail he just finished. We searched it out and found it quick. Thanks Mr D for all the hard work out there. This (Bear Creek Trail?) that I keep mentioning in this video..I'm not 100% sure it's actually called that. Interesting beginning. We got met at the gate by a "Karen" forbidding us to go in the trail system (for our eMTB). After some talking he decided to let us be. Little awkward but we put it behind us quickly. Not sure if I'll return (on my eMTB) but worth the trip if your into some rip roaring trails. Some sections are double black diamond.

Took the Friday off for a quick run at Big Bear, excellent drive out and the weather outstanding there. Low 70's today. Was hoping a few of my buds could come out but no takers this round. As luck would have it my battery went out right when I did a smooth Blue Steel run today..so.. Hoping to catch one before they close this year.

Last run of the day at Big Bear Summit, we were pretty much toast by the time we hit this trail. Hell of a day for us, hitting some Expert Only trails only to leave them with our tails between our legs, Turtle Trail was a welcome change of pace.

My first time riding this was few months ago but we turned around at 13:01 and went Hahn. Looks like ill have to go back and try the hard stuff at the end
Might need a rope to get down this trail, it's a lot like 10 ply trail from Big Bear with some exposure added to the mix, for sure just made for the pros.
dang did you have it boost mode and high gear going up that first section of dunn? 50% is ALOT
one under boost, I changed the settings (in the Shimano E-Tube app) from 3 steps to 7, I was on step 6 the whole ride. And I weigh 225 all geared up. Need to lose at least 15 pounds or get one of them 720 batteries when they come out. And I did start from halfway down the cove on Terrace Rd. But yeah, Dunn sucks the batteries off this bike quick. I can only (barely) do 2 hour rides out there for now so I keep them short for now. Still a good ride considering if I was on my regular bike the time of this ride would be doubled.

Where is this trail?
The trail can be reached from multiple points, Palm Canyon Epic is a popular one. Most travel up Dunn Road, a long time closed off road from the 70's. You can find Dunn Road at the top of Cathedral City Cove (Channel Drive). www.mtbproject.com/trail/5296023/hahnbuena-vista-trail

That bike is a Trance, not a Stance. The Stance is a bit more chill geometry wise. That area looks beautiful. Good stuff.
