AEW has definitely gone downhill since around 4 or 5 months ago. I can't quite put my finger on it but something has changed and not for the better. This current product reminds me of TNA...which is god awful.

This did suck and it makes no sense. Tony said he feared for his life when Punk supposedly "lunged" at him. Here he is getting piledriven, and if he doesn't fire them tonight (Friday), then I'm just left scratching my head like "he almost lost his life here and is still employing them?".

Good to know AEW isn't any better than when I stopped watching it last October. There's so much talent there, it would be so easily turned around, but Tony will never let that happen because he can't admit anything is wrong.

AEW haven't dropped the ball at all... she can't cut a promo and I keep forgetting she's even in the company. She's obviously very talented as an athlete but my god I've never seen anyone as boring on the mic, maybe Roman Reigns. She's even got entrance music with a built in crowd chant, that nobody chants anymore. AEW have given her everything she needs to build hype, but you have to be good on the mic if you want to be THE woman of the division.

Let’s understand it was an accident and not jump on these people, because they’re people too, and it was a genuine accident. If the reign ends, it’s been a fantastic reign, and Rhea dropping it means she can talk about how nobody beat her when she comes back. Imagine the pop she will get too!

Just leak the footage. Even if the footage makes Punk look bad (which there is a possibility of that happening) It leads to absolutely nothing and proves Punk right. There is no match for Dynasty or Double or nothing to build to. Sure, you can bring back Jack Perry, but he has no Punk to fight and draw money against. The smart thing to do was to leak the footage over the weekend. It wouldn't have been as big as Mania but it would have had changed the conversation for a second. Gauge how fans react and then move accordingly.

Mike Rotunda was a great heel. He was skilled and capable in the ring and an arrogant jerk on the mic. One of my favorite matches of all time was after Rick Steiner was kicked out if the Varsity Club and was chasing Rotunda for the TV Title, Steiner finally beat Rotunda for that belt. It was a TV match, naturally, the crowd was popping, and Stiener's reaction after the match as he ran around outside the ring with the belt is burned in my memory. I miss the kafabe days. I knew it was a work, but they boys were such great storytellers you couldn't help but get caught up in those moments.

Speaking of Christian *Cage* and AEW, I remember right at the beginning of the Israel - Palestine stuff. There was an angle with Juice Robinson, who’s gimmick is to have a roll of quarters with their opponent’s name on it, had a match with MJF and he did that same gimmick about MJF (who’s Jewish) and picking up quarters. Plays on the stereotype of Jews being greedy, MJF and AEW both put out statements pretty much acknowledging the backlash but saying that Max was completely happy with the angle
