So glad to see another MyGO reactor, woo! In case you're still confused, the reason why Saki quitted wasn't revealed. We just know she saw something, which might or might not have caused her to quit. We don't even know if what she saw was related to the performance. I think that it's not overdramatic when Tomori thinks "I want to be human". I'm not autistic myself, but I know that when I'm depressed, I tend to spiral down to the most dramatic thoughts like "I don't fit in this world" or "I don't belong here". The thoughts themselves are overdramatic, but I believe the experience is normal, which isn't surprising when Tomori has been struggling to fit in for her whole life, and was especially shocked when Crychic disbanded.

If you carefully compared the first scene of ep1 with ep3, the day when sakiko left the band.You will find ep3's sakiko is angrier, shows completely different facial expressions and body language. So all we know is that the first scene is showed in a more objective perspective, while in Tomori's perspective, she tend to blame herself when things go wrong.

Yeah bridge is really important background for this anime, there's so many scene happening in bridges in the future.

Crychic's performance of Haruhikage is the only song in the show that was left unsubbed for some reason. Don't know why they decided to do that, but there's no need to worry about running into that issue again

quick thing 18:00 moffat actually wrote the bit where matt smith regenerates and the tardis explodes, russel let him write all smith’s lines and the tardis exploding, russel jokes about how funny it was that the first thing moffat wanted to do was blow the set up lol. liking the video so far, i think a lot of ppl just didn’t like the change from RTD to Moffat and unfairly judged every episode with the lofty expectations that nostalgia had given them for RTD era. the RTD era is great, Moffat era is great, they’re just different, and that’s good, the show survives because of this change. I think a lot of people now look back with a clearer mind on the Moffat era and realise it wasn’t as bad as everyone said it was at the time, in fact, it’s pretty good! You can see this clearly by how much love and appreciation Capaldi seems to be getting nowadays, and less blind Clara hate.

You may find that this episode ends a little rushed, and that's because last year they released first three episode in a row. This set up extremely high expectations for me at the time, and it turned out to be a masterpiece. So whenever I recommend this show to my friends, I strongly advise them to watch three episodes in one sitting.

It's nice to see another MyGO reaction on RUclips, one of the most underrated shows that came out last year. You can probably count on one hand the amount of reactions this show has gotten on youtube and videos about it in general. It barely got any attention when it was airing outside of the core bang dream fanbase in the west. It wasn't until later on during the season that more people started watching it due to word of mouth and how much praise the fans were giving it. Even with how small the fanbase was at the time, it still ended uo being one of the highest rated shows in the season it came out. Fast forward months later and it ends up winning the r/anime awards for Anime Of the Year by the judges, which put even more eyes on the show in the west. Having said that though, the fanbase is still small compared to other shows amongst english viewers. In Japan and China however, the show really blew up, especially in China where the show has somehow become an actual cultural movement. It ended up being the most popular and most talked about show in China, leading to thousands of videos and memes on bilibili, cosplayers, reactions, people singing songs from the show and reenacting certain scenes. MyGO is so popular in china that you'll find it being referenced in chinese games now, like Wuthering Waves. As for the actual show, it should he noted that the first three episodes actually aired together, as they're sort of meant to be experienced all at the same time. I think the first three episodes together are like a complete puzzle, and once you finish the third episode, you might understand why they decided to air all three of them together. Background on MyGO itself: It actually started off as a seperate spinoff project (kind of, it was always meant to be connected to the main bangdream universe, but that wasn't revealed until like a year later when the anime was anounced). The tagline for MyGO was a band that combined the virtual world and reality, and for the first year they existed only as a real life band, but with their identities hidden. If you watch some of the old performances on RUclips, you'll see how their faces are obscured by the lighting during their shows, so you can't tell what they look like. These performances are all in character (and still are) so this was a first look at what their actual personalities would be like. They also had some in-character interviews, and a radio show where they're also in character (they now have episodes where they just talk as themselves and not the characters). It wasn't until the anime was officially announced that the voice actors were revealed for the first time. It was honestly a special experience to have this unknown band with unknown members releasing music and having them naturally gather a fanbase that way, not connected to any anime or pre-existing franchise. There's some other important stuff I'm leaving out due to spoilers, but I'll discuss them towards the end of the series, when it becomes more relevant to share. Sorry for the long comment, but this is probably one of my favorite anime of all time, and reactions are rare.

I just attended Bushiroad EXPO 2024 in Manila last Saturday and Sunday, October 12 and 13 and on both days I met Chihaya Anon's seiyuu and the guitarist for the real-life MyGO!!!!! the lovely Tateishi Rin-chan in the autograph sessions, and these autograph sessions are only limited to 30 people and slots are won by a lottery kinda like a form of a gacha and you have to pick a number from 1-30 then it qualifies you to purchase her Bromide which is like a postcard with a picture of her in it and that Bromide is where she will sign and luckily for me in both days I'm one of those lucky participants who got a chance to meet her and I swear I can't describe how beautiful and radiant she is, she's so nice, friendly and she really is such a sweetheart.

Have u read the manga about Haikyuu btw? I havent seen the new movie but from my viewpoint it would be better if u have already read the manga. The movie isnt a complete package and only focuses and a few things, which those things are done fantastically and really elevated. However a viewer who hasnt read the manga they wouldnt get that coz of the missing content and rushed nature of the film. Kinda like as if the movie is kind of fanservice to the manga fans and its premium fanservice at that. Not to say that it cant be enjoyed by someone who hasnt already read it but anyways, I havent even seen the movie so idk why im rumbling

I honestly thought that I was alone in disliking hbomb’s video on this topic, and while I dislike moffat on the whole, I do think the criticism of his series was slightly undeserved. I love how respectful you are in this video as well. You’ve earned another subscriber!

I understand Criticizing the Doflamingo Born Evil line, but you have to consider that line came from Corazon, and he has a heavily biased view against his brother since they both came from the same place and Corazon is incapable to understand how Doflamingo could have come out so different and how he was pushed to kill their father, Corazon was lucky to later be taken care by Sengoku, While Doflamingo being older was more attached to his old life and was later indoctrinated by Trebol. Corazon is in the wrong to think that way since even he should know that Law could have easily end up like Doflamingo if he had his way. (sorry for any errors, English is not my first language but I hope you could understand what I am saying even if you don't agree)

Good video. It's been a long time since i watched Moffat Doctor Who, but I've never really liked Hbomberguy's video on it. It's a shame cause otherwise I think he usually makes extremely well researched and insightful videos. In terms of Moffat's work, it's Sherlock I have way more problems with (due to being a huge fan of Holmes' books snd short stories, and just a big mystery fiction fan in general). Keep it up, tho. I dont always agree with you on everything, but im interested to see what you make next fr fr. Hopefully, you're able to create your own distinct video style. (Also, your audio was really good in thos video, ive tried using a mic to record in the past, and it never sounded as crisp for me, lol. So good job on that, too!)

it’s a bit weird the way you talk for like a whole lot of time at 5:30 about how you don’t get what criticism hbomberguy is making because he’s just “summarizing with a mocking voice” but then when he DOES explain why he didn’t appreciate Moffat’s mocking of sexism at 7:04 you just call it “cringe”. calling something “cringe” strikes me as really poor critique, it’s entirely subjective, and you seem to think it’s “cringe” to have political. opinions? it’s not crazy to think that Moffat’s basic ass liberal views aren’t going far enough? I truly don’t mean this to be rude but if you think hbomberguy being a bit of a preachy leftist is a problem then idk what to tell you that’s his whole brand lol. Also he never says questioning the doctor’s morality is bad, or the concept of serialization and series-wide character arcs is bad. When he says “The show spends so much time on this bad arc instead of doing fun stuff,” and you respond with “Of course the show spends so much time on this, it’s a character arc, that’s what character arcs are,” it’s you that is missing his point. he’s saying the arc is bad! I understand that it can be frustrating the way a lot of hbomb’s critiques are surface level and rely on you already kind of agreeing with him to fully get, but it strikes me as poor criticism to treat the guy like he’s saying NOTHING just because he’s a little preacher about it. then again i personally hate stephen moffat for what he did to me with Sherlock so i’m biased. I mean this as a genuine critique, not any kind of attack. I just feel as though you should explain yourself more, as you do the exact thing he does and treat your points as though they’re self evident without actually explaining them sometimes.

Yeah, so about Undead Unluck: imo it’s better to let the episodes pile up and binge in one go, so that maybe a person binging would forgive the individual flaw each episode had. I dunno why Yuki Yase is having this obligation to fumble at least one thing each episode or something cuz the heights we’re getting is leaps and bounds better than the early arcs in my eyes.

The third part of Subahibi (aka "It's my Own Invention") is the start of the actual Subarashiki Hibi experience in my opinion! The first chapter has a lot of metanarrative (references to the creators of the game, the otaku culture at the moment -there's literal quotes of other animes- and the eroge public, parodying the tropes of the genre). The second is the actual setting of the story, with Yuki as protagonist. Now, the third... oh man I can't even tell.

maybe it's because you haven't watched enough yuri series but the casual homophobia you mention is basically just parodying yuri, since it's very common for yuri series to have the "but we're both girls" thing, kagami and tsukasa are 1:1 identical rip offs of the twins from lucky star and the overexaggerated genre typical yuri, the fact that fictional characters from another anime exist here, all of it is showing just how fake the world of chapter 1 is it's fine if you don't enjoy the sol because most people don't but it also isn't trying to get you attached to the characters at all lol, that's far from its purpose and you'll see when you continue (subahibi isnt a character focused story in the first place, it's better to consider the characters symbolic tools and vehicles for themes). this chapter and most of the sol is very meaningful on rereading but not in a "oh the characters are happy before the storm hits" way at all, more like after finishing the vn you'll understand all the cryptic shit and why it's significant I don't really understand the fatamoru/umineko comparisons also, subahibi isn't really trying to go for that and it would be better if you judged it on its own rather than compared it to them
