a day in anyang and suwon - getting lost in art parks, markets and fortresses! | everaiday
Hi guys! This is the first part of my week with my friends! After their finals back at home in the Philippines, they went straight to Korea to visit me! I'll be posting a week long vlog about that but for now here's our trip to anyang and suwon.
Both cities are near seoul and can be accessed through subway so it's super convinient if you want to go somewhere in korea that isn't seoul hehe
(also i couldn't vlog at night beccause my battery died already and i forgot to do an extro so lol)

I got both from my own university and HUFS!! Every exchange student is eligible for the GKS scholarship they review all the grades/GWA from each student and then they emailed me saying Im nominated for it and to send a few more details + essays before i officially got the scholarship!

If I was to study for a whole year (2 semesters) am I able to stay in dorms over the winter/summer? Do you know how much that would cost compared to the normal semester price? What semester did you start in? I thought Fall/Autumn is 2nd Semester and Spring is 1st
Oh im not too sure about staying the whole year since I was only there for the Fall semester and test Fall is the 2nd semester and Spring is the 1st!

Hi Rai, I just want to ask what is the medium of instruction in HUFS? I was wondering since I'd like to apply for Grad Studies. Were you able to cope up with the language barrier?
all my classes were in english! There are a lot of courses offered in English so there wasn't really a language barrier. I do know simple korean so that helped me a lot in terms of communicating with people outside school (going to the market, shopping, etc)
Hello! I am going as an exchange student next semester and i wrote an e-mail to them about the dorm curfew, and they said it is 12 on weekdays and 01 on weekends :((( Was it the same for you back then? Also is it possible to stay out after the curfew if you tell them before hand or are they really strict about it?
I didnt have any curfew for the weekends by then! I havent tried asking for permission bc i usually am at the dorm by 12 on the weekdays!

hi there! sorry for the late reply but the dorm has a curfew of until 12mn if i remember correctly! there is no curfew on friday + weekends :)

hi hufs has a buddy program so you do get to meet korean students + you’ll also have korean classmates as well! it really depends on you on how much you wanna meet people but the people i’ve met are really fun!
