I am so taken aback and humbled by the performance, that is so out-worldly portraying unprecedented talent in choreography, dance ability and music composure bringing everything together to create a masterpiece.
radiotelemetry OK I went to the video to test my own theory and it's definitely a reference, go to about two minutes and ten seconds (in the Queen video) to see.
It was well known that Madame Danilova, the famous teacher and former ballerina with the Ballet Russe, had a phrase that she would always repeat whenever anyone gushed to her about the performance of a danseur. The phrase was, "Yes, but I saw Nijinsky." So one night, Madame came to see the Nijinsky program, the homage to the Ballet Russe with Nureyev and the Joffrey Ballet, the company you see here: L'apresmidi, Petrouchka, and Spectre de la Rose. Afterward, she went backstage where she was received with utmost respect by Nureyev. "Rudolf," she said, "you know what I always say." He answered with humility, "Yes, Madame. I do." And she said, "This time, I do not say it." That's about the highest praise I can imagine for one of the two greatest dancers of the 20th century, both gone way too soon.
This page is dedicated to Nijinsky find other interesting information facebook.com/Nijinskys
I wish we had the Nijinsky performance

the dancer is nureyev right ? Nijinsky just originated this specific ballet.

Does anybody else think Queen's "I Want to Break Free" video references this?

sem palavras....♥♥♥
Oh my God -- WOW.
One can only imagine what the audience thought of this back in 1912. So modern...even today.
Such a great choreography! Today, with all our technical possibilities, we stand often far behind of this amazing creativity!
踊り手の人間的魅力に大きく左右される作品だと思います。 ヌレエフの牧神は本当に素晴らしい。他のダンサーとはあまりに違い過ぎる。 彼の偉大さを如実に感じます。
Compliment the dancers, compliment the dancers!
Thanks for everything, Rudi! We miss you and will love you forever.
