Potato Harvest
Просмотров 502 года назад
A little late posting this. This is our tiny potato Harvest. Hopefully next year will be better. I think we learned a lot of useful tricks.
I have a Mahindra 2638 and love it. It has 4 cyl engine and I never have to regenerate. It deals with the emissions in a genious way. Less parts no waste and it gets it done. My tractor has never broken and I use it a lot.
Thank you so much, Ive been having the exact same issue.
I have a e max 22 , what has to be removed to get the ignition switch out to replace ?
Sorry for the delayed reply. You will need to remove the band that’s between the fender and plastic operating station. Under the rubber steering cover is a bolt. Then after you gain access to the back of the switch remove the nut on the front.
Thank you for this my dog likes when I cook his food so this makes him think it’s gourmet but really it’s just warm kibbles
Excellent coop. I'm working on a very similar idea, I like the flip up roosting bars, going to add that idea to my coop... One thing I'd recommend from personal experience, trial and error, and having had to deal with the chicken issues personally, the roosting bars need to be wider. Your chickens are going to end up with foot issues. 3" rounded edges is ideal but a 2x4 wide side will also work (sand or round the edges just a little bit so it's not so sharp on their toes.
You said, "billboard sign material". Can't find that in a search, except hard plastic board that is white and is not flexible or lay. Can you find out what it actually is called? Does it last longer than tarp? Is there any benefits from it? We have a hoop coop, but I am thinking on what we are going to build for the ducks now.
The place I purchased it from called it that. It didn’t last as long as I had hoped. We had to change it this year.
Nice
Great job on the hoop coop!
Thank you. I have had the exact problem with my Mahindra max 24, which has the same engine as your tractor. Like you, I have changed filters, changed relays and on and on. I’m going try to find a new solenoid to replace this one. Thanks again
Really glad it helped. I have found that when you get it adjusted correctly tighten it down good or use the mild thread lock or it will back off.
Nicest coop door I've seen. I noticed you chose to build the frame (behind the door) asymmetric, different heights on the left and right. If you were going to build it again would you do it the same? Or would you try to force the cattle panel into a symmetric arch? Would you do anything else different? Is the door made from 2x3?
The design wasn’t intentional that is just how it worked out. I wouldn’t change anything because it’s been very functional and is still in use. Yes, it it made with 2 by 3. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Would have done better if you put the positive on the slave steal in the negative on skillet save the elbow grease switch your leads and put it back in tank!
I'm building my hoop coop with re-purposed six 8' panels due to not having a way to get 16' panels home from tsc, so made do, just joined end to end and bent as best I could, semi cathedral as opposed to Quonset shape 7'x12', birds won't care how imperfect it is.Covering with hardware cloth,Using billboard vinyl to cover.
Nah she ain't crazy .

Love it
On new construction I see pipe insulation on the exterior pex pipe. I guess it does double duty protect the pipe from uv and help protect against the cold.
That's what I did this time, lesson learned. 😊
I just found the same problem with the Mahindra 1626 fuel pump $220.00-$320.00 dollar rippof, while a Jonh deere fuel pump that looks identical to it costs 20 dollars? WTH??? Does anyone make a universal fuel pump for the 1626 that does not cost a fortune?
Amazon
How many chickens did you have in that coop sir
We average between 15-25
How do the chickens get up on the roost...looks pretty high for em to jump up
They just fly up there. They were able to reach the roost fairly young.
Hiw do you get the plug off?
Thank you! I need to do the same for my 28xl and couldn’t even find the existing solenoid. Thanks for pointing it out. Did your new solenoid last?
Awesome setup. How many chickens you have in your hoop coop?
Thank you. There are currently 40 plus chicks growing out. Several will be moved to give the others room. We built a “new” coop out of an old stock trailer and the older hens are loving it.
🤤 promosm

You had me at fast!
Hi
Thanks
Thanks
Thank you . God Bless !!!
Can you let me know how you did for the automatic water? I really like your idea of the roost. What kind of fence wire you used? I also have a hoop chicken coop. I use tarp and UV tent shield to cover the coop. Rain and sun proof, cost $5 each. Thank you for sharing and great coop!
ruclips.net/video/dxoUyDZdboo/видео.html this is a link to the uni-seal video that goes with the waterer. For the water I did it two different ways. First is just a horse waterer for stalls. The other is a waterer float valve for a trough installed onto a fence feeder for goats or pigs. I really like the idea of the uv tent cover thanks for sharing it. As far as fencing wire im getting away from chicken wire and leaning more towards 1/2x1/2 galvanized hardware cloth or even 1/2x1 cage wire. More expensive but also more predator resistant.
Good point 👉
Thank you
@@faithfamilyfarmfood just wanted to let you know got the old girl started right up. Seems she don't like cold so got a oil pan heater and a heat gun for intake manifold. Guess she like her hair done right in the morning. My 28max only has 101 hours. Now all I gotta do is another oil change and clean the hydrolic filter. She is 10years old.
@@faithfamilyfarmfood Also replaced a few components solenoids for fuel and the glow plugs. Also changed out the fuel filter. Got her in garage now for this storm. She starts right up. The oil pan heater is magnetic and will install the coolant heater when I have a chance. Sounds different with new glow plug regulator. May have been a contributor. Thanks again Jim Thanks for the knowledge and encouragement.
I like you, God bless

Thanks. They've gone up in price. Around $10 now on Amazon. Still plan to get a few.
Never mind, the price was for 2. I need to learn how to read.
Great job. What was the size of your cattle panels? Thanks.
They are your standard 16 ft long.
