I have a Lexus GX 460 and just had my driveshaft lubricated by my local Lexus Dealership. I have a clunk/thump and was thinking that lubing the zerk fittings and u-joints would solve this but it didn't. I read on a forum that someone said that they had their slip joints lubricated and it did not help, but then they had their propeller shaft specifically lubed and it completely solved their clunk/thump. What is the difference between the slip joint and the propeller shaft, or does this person not know what their talking about?? I have basic mechanical knowledge about cars but dont know alot about 4x4 driveshafts so sorry if this sounds like a stupid question.
