@@WorkoutMus1c00 Uh... No its not. The katana was a two handed sword with a curved handle. The polish saber was One handed with a straight handle. The katana had a constant curve to it, meaning that if the curve was continued, it would make a perfect circle. The polish saber had a non constant curve to it, as it was meant to be used on horseback, and needed to cut at high speed and at the tip. It was thicker near the end, when the katana is thinner at the end. Katanas also have a signature tip, that made it harder to thrust. The polish saber was built with not only an incredibly sharp tip, but with a double edge on the tip so that in dueling, you could turn the saber to curve around you enemy's and get them in the face. Katanas did not have fullers (The groove going down the middle for strength and weight reduction) when sabers did. The only thing that this sword has in common with a katana is the hilt alone.
