Seems like you're having "lighter" experiences compared to some black RUclipsrs who had visited that country. Albanians have a bad habit of yelling the n word at black travelers. They'll even yell it at a church! As documented by one black RUclipsr. Now I don't know if anyone has yelled something at you, but hey! For each their own. If the country fits you, go for it. Personally I would stay as far away from Albania as possible.

It may be isolated abusive instances like everywhere in the world, but don't looks like you try to generalize like this is acceptable in our culture. You should check if this is happening from the Roma community.

I think this is the most culturally detailed video I've seen. There was one about budget and monthly costs, one about cultural things, and one by a black American woman about living there long-term that has good content. I noticed most of the negative you mentioned are things that used to be prevalent (or still are a struggle) in all ex Russian-occupied countries, but many have come very far, like the Baltics, Poland, and Ukraine. I hope Ukraine can kick Russia out and all of Europe becomes stable, because Eastern Europe is gorgeous and amazing, and people have simply ignored it. I appreciate what you said to people to only pay normal rates for housing, and prevent grandification. So true. Thank you for sharing the anecdotes also. My understanding is that a past American president a few decades ago made a policy decision that greatly benefitted Albanians and their desire for a better life without Russian interference, and because of that help they love Americans.
