Really thoughtful reaction. You touched on a lot of bases and had interesting commentary. I did want to mention that Babymetal was and remains Japan's most successful and popular export. They've been doing this since 2010. And what Babymetal have achieved has opened the doors for the many Japanese acts now gaining acceptance in the west. That's something I don't think BM get enough credit for. Thanks for this reaction.

Thank you for your "Unchained" reaction 👍 With the current "LOVEBITES EP II" it was clever to release the first two songs as music videos: - "Unchained" sparked the question: are they becoming more commercial? - "Soul Defender" was able to calm some minds but something was still missing. Then came the revelation, many will not forget the moment when the "EP II" was finally released and "Where's Identity, The Bell In The Jail and Someone's Dream" were heard for the first time. I had a lot of fun with this trilogy and "The Bell In The Jail" is my favorite song. 🔔🐺🔔

Well the EP2 should show what theay are able to do. Unchained f.a. has a big Commercial side. You should check out the Rest of the EP finding complete different sides and really epic Instrument work.

Even if you don't react to them, you should definitely check out the rest of the EP. The EP has 5 songs, two of which were made into music videos. But in my opinion, the three non-music video songs were the best songs on the EP. They are certainly the heaviest songs.

Your pronunciation was spot on. The cutesy J-pop vocal description of Su-Metal’s strong clear vocals is a bit off. In many songs on the first album (2014) I would agree. The 3 albums since then not so much. 👊🏽⚡️🦊🤘🏾

Let me be honest i don't like Metal especially Bands Who have 2 vocalist one does the scream and other the clean vocal, i always cringe when i hear songs like this But i always love the instrument of metal music, the scream always push me away from Metal and what BabyMetal does they have instrument of Metal music and What people always love a good Pop vocalist And Su does this part. 4:18 And if you hear the Song 'In the Name of'By BabyMetal you will see that don't sound like BabyMetal Because SU-Metal is not singing what make the song sound like the artist is the singer. Bruno Mars or Dimash also have a similar sound in the songs that they sing. Even BTS who does a lot of different genres you will always hear the BTS sound Because is the same 4 vocalists and the 3 Rappers singing almost every song.

That was two concerts, performed at Yokohama Arena on March 2nd and 3rd, 2024, celebrating Momometal's 21st birthday. There were 17,000 people in the audience each night. I was one of them. : ) This is what producer Koba said in a 2016 interview: Q: Of all the songs in this album wouldn’t you say that ‘Syncopation’ has the most Japanese feel to it? Kobametal: Yes, I would agree to that. And that is why on the overseas edition we put a different song in its place. On the Japanese edition we wanted to present an ever more Japanese quality to it and so this song was included. On the overseas edition in place of ‘Syncopation’ we have instead included the song ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’. (As it turns out, Western audiences love this song as well.)

Good one, thanks! Yes, it's "Syncopation" and it's one of my favorite songs. Actually, I believe this is their best song overall. I mean, once I put my personal biases and preferences aside, what stands out is this masterpiece by my favorite composer: Norikazu Nakayama aka Norimetal. I was so stoked when I experienced this very same performance at Yokohama Arena last March.

Welcome back. You are right, every song is different, but despite that you can always recognise it is BABYMETAL. They do have a unique sound and way of doing things ... I can't think of any other band that is quite the same at all, either Japanese or western or from anywhere else in the world. 'Syncopation' was a Japan exclusive track on the second album Metal resistance released in 2016. I was fortunate to have been at Brixton, London the first time they ever played it outside of Japan. When the heartbeats started sounding and we realised what they were about to do the whole crowd went wild. Su-metal said she was amazed that everybody there already knew the song since it had never been released in any form outside of Japan. No this was not the show opener - they do intros like this for a lot of their songs. When you go to see BABYMETAL live you will get a complete show, not just a band playing some of their songs with one song merging into the next. This was Legend MM on 2nd and 3rd March 2024 at Yokohama Arena celebrating Momometal's 21st birthday and 'Syncopation' was somewhere around the middle of the set. They have just finished their first tour of South America including performing at KnotFest in some of the countries, they are currently touring the US again.

Not the opener, BabyMetal tends to have long song intros, they need to run out back and have a quick smoke and slam a beer before they dance, lol.

Nice reaction! Ah, "Legend MM", at the Yokohama Arena 😄 That was Momometal´s birthday celebration concert! "The One" immediately recognizes "Syncopation" by the "heart line" on the video wall (some recognize it even more early, just by the ambient sound). It was the 7th song of the set at that evening. BABYMETAL live is always super impressive. I saw them live last year, in a rather small venue in Cologne, Germany, and "Syncopation" was the 7th song on the setlist, too. The whole concert was a blast, and the crowd was fire, too 😁 I´m looking forward to see them in Hamburg next year, this time in a 20k capacity venue. Maybe we´ll see a stage like the one they used at Legend MM there? 😁 BABYMETAL is the most entertaining, fun, super heavy, poppy, kawaii experience in Metal, IMHO.

I highly recommend their album Pornography. It's really dark. Much older (from 1982), more nihilistic and angrier. But it's a trip. And the bass sounds great. ;)

This debut album came out when Fiona was nineteen. "Very adult" describes pretty much all of the material on the album, some of which she wrote as early as the age of sixteen. She's a badass who seems to have known how to own her shit from very early on.

Jesus what did you find.. I was a child.. All horror Movies from Dario Argento were a must. And Goblin soundtracks... You made me happy. Claudio Simonetti here in Italy is considered one of the best composer in his gender I suggest you to review their Hit.. "Profondo Rosso" .

I think all fans of Dimash right now are screaming his accomplishments to you. This was a video unlike anything he's ever done but it's an original song he composed. He's been singing on stage since he was 5 yrs old and his parents are famous singers in their country. He's held concerts all over the world including New York City! He performed 14 episodes of a tv show in China called the Singer. He has videos and live performances you should check out if you're interested. He is simply the best singer in the world.
