@@michaelkoltosky6438 unless you are playing on pc and cheat idclip yeah sure you can get the bfg on the first level but on console idclip don’t exist

I think its just trial and error, I been using modern controls and probably just gotten used to them by now. Go with whichever is more comfortable for you 👍

I'd prefer it a lot if this mod had Doom weapons as an option (either as 3D models or sprites). That's one of the reasons I never quite liked Quake (aside from the rocket and grenade launcher).
That would be pretty awesome if they mixed up the weapons
It would require an engine that supports 2D sprites as weapon models. From the top of my head I could suggest FTEQW, I don't think Quakespasm or any derivated engine has this feature.

It’s seems that fourth secret had to be changed for the quake engine? Weird that it shows on the end screen, like it’s mocking you. Jokes aside, this is a really interesting project, and I love the lighting that the quake engine provides.
There is no 4th secret! E1M1 only had 3 secrets. If there's a 4th secret it's been added by this mod.

@@SanicConnoisseur_91 Secret exit [Xbox only]: In secret #1, head to the very east of the courtyard, and then follow the northern wall until it begins to bend northwest. Press on this section of the wall to be taken to the Xbox-exclusive secret level, E1M10: Sewers.
i think there was a secret added in a later patch of doom on e1m1 iirc

Playing it default settings my friend. This port did brighten everything up compared to the OG version.
Have you played it on any other platform, and if so would you say it's better on the PS5?
Played on PC when it released back in 2004. Played on PS3 with BFG edition and this newest port released for PS4&PS5. I do like this port but I do have a soft spot for the PC OG version from 2004

It's the new port to consoles and pc released a few months ago. Very good port and would recommend picking it up

Dva is just Stupid but in a good way, no cooldown or reload on her main weapon, just infinite spam.
And that's why we love her 🤣
It's still pretty weak so that makes up for not having cooldowns
I totally forgot that the shotgun in this game is one of the greatest ever
By next year we'll see a future remaster of it akin to Doom Eternal, it is likely, it could be just plain simply my opinion.
I'd love to see them remaster the original Unreal game from 1998
