It was built by the Nazi party as a birthday gift for Hitler’s 50th birthday. In typical Nazi fashion, it was completed nearly a full year ahead of schedule. Hitler went there a dozen times. He would have visited more had he not been afraid of heights. Yes, he was the 1st politician in the world to widely adopt air travel into his election campaign, but he was still extremely uncomfortable flying. Despite this, he chose to fly during the campaign because he would do whatever it took to win the 1933 election for chancellor of Germany.

It should only exist in the same way that Auschwitz still exists, as an example of what should never be allowed to be repeated. I don’t believe it should be a place to go for a good time.

A city with many good memories I have from. Lived in it for five years, before moving to China. I had many videos from the city and nearby towns but my hard disk broke and all of them are lost. Luckily I found in my phone videos from beautiful Frankonian Switzerland which is in the queue to be published. Thanks for reminding many sweet memories hidden in every frame of your video!
