Fix leaking Delonghi coffee machine - cheap, quick and easy!
This De’Longhi coffee machine makes a steam hiss sound from inside. I opened and found it was coming from the steam heating element. I tiny hole was made by steam corroding through the aluminium tube. I fixed it fast and cheap with a small pipe clamp and silicone tape! Works great hopefully for another few years at least.

Просмотров 9747 месяцев назад
This Kitchenaid hand blender was making a bad burning smell. The repair includes the replacement of the faulty resettable fuse, but also the rubber cover which was destroyed to get to the circuit board inside. However the cover was already cracked and the silicone tape replacement worked well.

Why dis miser stops frikvently
Здравствуйте А вы не могли бы отправить мне старый двигатель и плату? Найду в чем причина!
Thank you! Really. Had the same error and thanks to your video I was able to revive my old robot vacuum cleaner today. Now it doesn't have to lie in the basement anymore and it drives again ;) Greetings from Germany!🎉😊
Ok thank you
Thank you for your video. Mine had this issue 2 years ago. Bought a new one, and today again, same problem. I’ll give it a shot…
The problem was the Triac as mentioned in some comments but your video helped a lot!!!!! Coffee is On again 😁😁😁
where did you order the fuse.i need WH130 1600A and cannot find
I got mine from element14. Yours is a bit different but you could find an equivalent with the same rating. Amps must be same but volts can be higher. Specifications I found here: whcptc.com/pptc/WH130.html
Hi Mike! I had the same issue and successfully fixed doing the same thing. Now a couple months later, my machine has started no priming/pumping at all. When I turn the machine on, the light flashes and it does heat up to temp, but the pump doesn’t go at all. Nothing happens when I turn the dial. Any ideas what it could be? I’m wondering if it’s the thermal block or faulty pump. I did hear a couple of pops / fizzes in the machine at one point 😬 Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi! Any visible sign of burning on the board or pump? It could be the TRIAC switch to the pump or the pump itself. The pump might be less likely if it’s not making any sounds at all. You can start by testing the components (appliance unplugged of course!) around the pump TRIAC, and the TRIAC itself.
I have a case, where I get Err3 while charging. The issue is, I got a replacement battery and it behaves exactly the same way. Charging in docking station OR charging directly with cabel connected into Roomba, no difference. Model 650, but i guess the core would not be too much different in these basic behaviours. It all started with the battery getting less and less capacity, and after the replacement of a new battery, it behaves like this. Both with old and new. So, does not make much sense, that after something which seemed to be "old" battery, it actualy shows symtoms of a totally different issue. I am lost with this gadget really. Any idea, how to troubleshoot?
That’s unfortunate. Sorry to hear you got a new battery only to find it still doesn’t work. Did you test the board components like the video? I found the diode was open which may have been a cause. But there’s other components responsible for charging including the MOSFETS which I also tested but were ok on mine. I hope that helps.
Nice one Mike. I appreciate you doibg this video and sharing. I just bought and removed a second hand HH similar to yours. Prior to removing the handle and height adjustment worked as it should. Now for some reason it doesn’t. I will investigate and report back here. Hopefully can help other people with a similar issue in the future. Cheers
Hi where did you get the switch from as mine has just started leaking and it's from the top cover bit
It does sound like the switch. When open check for rust just below the switch. I got mine from Big Warehouse Spares. Here’s the link: m.bigwarehouse.com.au/sunbeam-coffee-machine-em4300-selector-switch-p-2555471.html
Hi Mike, would you mind sending a link to these special screwdrivers or post how their tip looks like?
No problem. It’s a “Y” shape. Here’s the eBay link where I got the set. But Y2 was the size needed. www.ebay.com.au/itm/315432267379

Thanks for the video! I actually came here looking for ways to adjust the pump pressure. Might be a long shot, but would you happen to know if this looks possible on this machine?
Sorry I’m not sure how to adjust pump pressure. That may involve modifying the pump or its power supply.
Mine had the exact same problem of pump not stopping. There were no burnt components just a short on the board somewhere.
Thanks for sharing your experience. It might have been a short in the board itself like in my case? I’ve never seen this before and assumed it was some charred remains!
@@Mike-It-Work I also noticed other people with the fault similar to mine so I changed the triac T2 and now it's fixed.
How did you get the centre spindle out? I have disassembled to the point at 2:58 but the centre mechism (with the thread) will not budge no matter what I try
Maybe the top of the threaded rod is still attached to the inner pipe (spindle)? In my case the connection was completely gone. Can you unscrew the ring gear (the one that actions the threaded rod)? If this comes off the inner pipe (with clothesline attached) should be free to pull through with the threaded rod.
Master of puppets...yeah 🙂. this was the best argument and perfect sound example. I bought today a used 3120...40 years ago I had the 3020 and I sold it to a friend, which was one of my biggest Hifi-mistakes I ever made...now I corrected it and will check this out. Thx for the service details information..
can you give me a hand bro i have a mini barista 125v, i always mess around with it by opening and cleaning the lines but last time i didn't descale my machine for over 7 moths (the steam wand was clogged) and when i finally did used a good descale i heard a different sound, in the end the steam wand came back to live but now then i press the single or duo shot the water comes out the head group and also comes out the steam wand. i did descale other 3 times and all the lines are pretty clean but i think the sensor is damaged or blocked but the thing is, i have no idea on how to check that out
Sure no worries. It might be the selector switch. I’m not sure about the 125v but if it’s the same as the one I fixed in the video then it sounds like a degraded switch. I made another video fixing this machine which leaks from top. You can see it in my channel. As the switch also directs water to the wand the same faulty switch would lead to water leaking to the wand as you see. If it is the switch, replacements can be bought from parts suppliers. I show this in my other video. Good luck.
@@Mike-It-Work i just saw the video that you are talking about, i will give it a try this weekend, fingers cross that i will solve this issue haha ty mate!
@@Mike-It-Work i did open the switch it had a little amount of limescale but i cleaned it, sadly the issue still there, every time i try to get a single or doble shot water comes out the steam wand and the headgroup at the same time, but when i want to use the steam it works as intented. where can i find this part? i live in the uk do you think i can get it from aliexpress or something like that?
When I opened the switch I noticed the steam port had the most deteriorated plastic at the valve seat due to heat damage so it never seals. So if its the same as yours, it explains what you are seeing. I don't see the switch available from UK suppliers when I search the brand and model. Maybe the model number is different there for the same unit? An example Australian supplier is below. I hope you can find a local parts supplier! spares.bigwarehouse.com.au/product_info.php?products_id=2555471

Where are you from?
Hi there Mike. Thanks heaps for posting this vid. I have the exact same problem with my old Hills hoist which seems to be the same model as yours. The original base cap seems to have been welded on to prevent the lifting off of the top of the clothes line but you have replaced it with a loose type washer set up. I will try this method and report the result.
thanks for the video. Helped me figure out how to get it open. Mine was behaving the same way but no sign of any burning when opened up. replaced the triac and it's working perfectly again
Great you got yours fixed! Thanks for sharing your experience.
Where do you buy the replacement motor?
I got mine in Australia from Dyson Revive. But I see Amazon sells them too. Search for “Dyson V11 motor”
Thank you very much for sharing this video. Very helpful
Nice one Mike. They all seem to perish in the same spot and I you can't buy just the conical washer anywhere. Hills only sell the entire top post and full replacement parts kit. 80 cent 5 mm washer and did the same as you. Good on you for posting the video
Great video! Any recommendations where to buy the motor?
Thanks. I see them on Amazon, but I got mine in Australia from dysonrevive.com.au
I found a 4-slice Smeg toaster, nearly new, at the side of the road. Just needed to clean the solenoid, as in your video. Thanks, for a quick repair.
Thank you very much ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
