Announcement 04.09.2024: After the first patch the game is playable on higher graphics so i switched to high. Game science are a small company but have done a better job with that game as the 95% of the big western companies. The Asian games market is the future whether you like it or not.

Announcement 26.08.2024: I play this game on Medium but i will change it for normal Enemies or farming because , if you look closely the attack of the opponent is ready then comes the dodge normally this attack should hit me but it does not hit because with mouse and keyboard it is delayed. If I would play this game on my PC on high quality I would have almost no chance to defeat bosses. And not because of lags but because of the quality. In my opinion it is a very good game for players who like to farm lvl and want to try out many talents on bosses. But the game has not been finished programmed, WHITECLAD NOBLE as well as BAW-LI-GUHH-LANG have for example no defeated animation or bosses like for example the first boss BULLGUARD has nothing no welcome animation no defeated animation nothing. Well after 20-30 attempts (once I had refined my strategy, with many more attempts than that in total) taken to kill him without save scumming saves, I can see why you did chained darkness this way. Its less hassle than a "legit" kill by far. Actually tanking in killing him wouldn't be so bad if, after baiting the polar midnight and charge, he would just stick to the tank. What makes it so unreasonable is the AI behaves quite inconsistently, but will often switch targets from the tank, cast blasphemy or cast finger of death against a plot critical party member, in 1-3 rounds of him charging after casting polar midnight. They really should have put a significant delay on his spells after polar midnight and have him not switch off your tank potentially the instant after he charges (which I saw happen a significant number of time). I had several close attempts and many more attempts where he just immediately screwed me over by fixating someone other than my tank almost immediately or finger of deathing Rekarth in particular within 2 rounds of his charge (death arousal does not save you from finger of death without a save being made). But when the fucker finally went down, the it was just down to the stars aligning and me getting a lot of critical hits within a few rounds, with many bypassing his fortification, killing him before he did anything other than attack my tank. I would have eventually been able to get him down without such luck on the dice once it occurred to me that by outranging finger of death, I could have a non plot critical party member eat the spell, as I got him to under 100 hit points more than once in 5-6 rounds, but honestly, there was no sense of accomplishment, just relief. There were definitely mistakes made with composition. I did not use any frankenstein builds, just pure drunken master for main, pure paladin and pure inciter skald. Rekarth was rogue 1 and demonslayer 10 and Sendri was sorc 2 stigmatised witch 9 (for the hexes) and penta pure bard. The drunken master was focussed on unarmed attacks and both the tank and the only party member that could hit on a significant proportion of his attack rolls, with the rest having about a 1 in 10 chance relying on fortune hex and nat 20s. About half my attempts were spent with this, which was me hoping that the other party members would land enough hits that he would die before I killed myself with the damage reflect from his implants. This simply didnt work well and I backtracked, bought the sai +3, but this cost me dex to damage modifier (still had drunken power). Had I planned with this in mind, I would have taken fencing grace and weapon focus in the right weapon. The inciter was a waste as sneak attack doesnt work at all (I assume its uncanny dodge not just fortification as I never saw it trigger once) and because I was unarmed, I didn't take beast totem as it replaces unarmed with claws. This obviously cost me some AC, though to be fair, unless he turned off power attack, you could not hit me without double nat 20 anyway. I took Daemon totem hoping to level drain him on crit (I seem to remember him being debuffed with negative levels on lower difficulties) but he was immune, so wasted a few feats here. Overall, the skald probably wasn't worth it for a net +2 to hit and damage and +2 AC from guarded stance after accounting for the inspire rage AC penalty. My Ecclesiathurge with guarded hearth, animal companion and level 11 cleric spells would have been significantly more useful. My rationale had been that +2 hit damage, the extra AC (originally intended to be +5 with beast totem before I realised I could not use it with unarmed attacks) and the sneak attack would be more valuable than a competence AC bonus that simply replaced not stacked with Penta, but as it worked out, I lost 3 AB for 2 AC and 2 damage, and likely a lower overall damage output from the skald than animal companion + ecclesiathurge and likely lost decent mileage out of crusaders edge and maybe even a greater dispel with the glasses to max the roll. I went for weapon bond on my pally, but I wasn't even close to making the AB and a horse with 4 APR would likely have done more damage overall the an additional +1 enchant and the holy effect. Rekarth providing +3 to hit and damage with bond probably was worth it over the animal companion, as my main hit significantly more often with this buff and everyone was doing moderately more damage. But even without frankenstein builds, this definitely can be done. The AI makes it unreasonably annoying though. The timing of blasphemy and finger of death should be much more consistent, and he should just stick to the damn tank when attacking, at least for longer than sometimes switching off as soon as he has charged.

What is this boss. I tried for hours then I eventually discovered this same trick. I came to see if anyone can beat it on unfair. The stupid icy one shot party wipe thing reaches the entire screen but it shows it like the ring is smaller so you have to exit the area to survive, there is no way you can burst that icy prison in enough time to survive the second round or even if you could the third round you are dead. A 44 armor class even without any buffs or armor he is 27 ac. No way not at this level unless your whole team are built for crits and you reload like 50 times for the perfect storm. He has a third phase where he appears behind at full health and does a 1.0 initiative missile barrage at does 30 to 40 damage to your entite party, then spams it continuously. Again with 40+ ac and 140 health. Not possible on unfair. Stupid boss.
