X3ME Player - I don't know for music, but pictures are 100% accurate. These are their portraits. Croatian soldiers were called "Red Raincoats" throughout Europe. When (hidden) World Powers made revolutions and decided to wipe Austria off the map of Europe, Croatian ban (leader, president) Jelachich went to defend it. Croatian regular Army was in war in Italy, so Jelachich collected, let's say, "B" warriors: Croatian border (border with Ottomans, who conquered & held Bosnia and Serbia for 5 centuries) guards: serezhan (sort of border police), pandurs, peasant's guard (guarding their villages), old soldiers (pensioners) etc. Lot of them had their own weapons: some too old, some won in battles against Ottomans... When they appeared in Vienna, people were amazed! Austrian painters rushed to paint them, so now we know how they really looked like. If you google "Croatian soldiers 1848" you'll find more pictures. 1848 year was complicated. As for Croatia: Hungarian revolutionists tried to occupy North Croatia and turn it into Hungary, so with destroying Hungarian revolution Jelachich saved Croatia too. One can say he was contra-revolutionist, but on the same day he was proclaimed Croatian ban (leader) he abolished serfdom once and for all. Defending Croatia and Austria in 1848. doomed Croatia: "shadow world rulers" declared that Croatia and Croats have to vanish. Marx and Engels ordered the extermination of that nation. When England and France made Serbia in 1878 on Bulgarian, Croatian & others territory, one of tasks this new state got was to exterminate Croats, what they do with hidden help from mainly British military support, and world's propaganda machinery. Try to find texts about Croats and Serbs (beware for forgeries!) older then 1878 and you'll see for yourself.
