Life as a mom in NYC 🌧 | Shopping and eating in SoHo, Bloomingdale's, MUJI
Here is a random Thursday that Dan took off from work since my mom is in town visiting. We ate lunch at Nyonya, one of our favorite spots in Chinatown. Afterwards, we went shopping at the SoHo Bloomingdale's (the best one!) where I also did my afternoon pump. Then we headed over to MUJI and picked up a bunch of back-to-school essentials (lol). Lastly, we had dinner at The Tyger which was delicious but expensive.

Просмотров 5453 месяца назад
We had a productive weekend picking up our visas at the Chinese consulate, grabbing dinner at Daxi in Flushing, and revamping Josie's walk-in closet. The project took longer than expected, we ran into a few hurdles, but the result was better than we even imagined. About me: Just a 30-something Millennial who recently became a mom and came to RUclips to talk through her feelings about motherhood...

Join us for a rainy day in NYC getting our visas at the Chinese consulate and checking out a Szechuan restaurant in the area. Then, a day in my life as a stay at home mom to a 10 month old. We are trying to wean her, but so far she is not tolerating any formula. It's really hard for me to maintain my supply, and we're really hoping we can wean her before our trip to Hong Kong and Wuhan in Septe...
Life as a mom in NYC | getting diagnosed with ADHD at 32
Просмотров 3483 месяца назад
Welcome to another day in my life in NYC as a new mom to a 9 month old! After experiencing more severe symptoms postpartum, I finally decided to get myself evaluated for ADHD. It turns out I had ADHD my whole life, and it was pretty serious. Now looking back, it seems pretty obvious that I had it. My psychiatrist told me that it was very heritable, so I won't be surprised if Josie has it too. I...

Hi everyone! Join me for a relaxing day where we ate the most delicious Moroccan food at Tara Kitchen in Tribeca and tried to pick up clothes from Shopboy (and failed). Then, a life update about why I'm struggling right now, breastfeeding my 9-month-old, and finally getting evaluated for ADHD for the first time. I never thought I had ADHD as a kid - I always just felt different and lazy compare...
My secret to glass skin ✨ | how I fixed my dehydrated aging skin

My postpartum breastfeeding skin was the worst skin I've ever had in my life. It was so dry I was getting wrinkles everywhere, and nothing I was trying was working. I was a bit late to the TikTok trend, but I decided to give beef tallow a go. Definitely my #1 holy grail skincare product now. It gave me back my glowy, dewy skin. In fact, this is the best my skin has ever looked. Just beef tallow...
How we built our dream home in NYC suburb | cost, tips, $16,000 down payment

Hi everyone! Join us for a tour of our 5 bed 3 bath reimagined midcentury modern home. We tore the original house down to the studs, I designed everything myself, and we built a new master wing addition. The property is one-of-a-kind, and it's easy to see why someone once offered the previous homeowner $4 million for it in the 90s. In 2017, we bought our first home with an FHA first time home b...
Travel vlog | NYC to San Diego ✈️ | first flight with an 8 month old
Просмотров 4174 месяца назад
We took our 8 month old on her first ever flight to visit family in the San Diego area. I had to pump twice on the 6-hour cross-country flight, which was by far the worst part. The baby, on the other hand, handled everything like a seasoned traveler. We had purchased a seat for her and brought her car seat so she could use it if she wanted to, but she ended up not using it. The only time she re...
Life as a mom | ✨ clean with me | productive morning in my life

Welcome to a realistic morning in my life where I start off the day with pumping, doing my AM skincare routine, and tidying up my closet. Then I have a heart-to-heart chat about what it feels like to be a SAHM after quitting law school. I don't enjoy being a SAHM most of the time, and that's okay. This is a season of my life where my baby still really needs me, and it's temporary. About me: Jus...
My body 8 months postpartum | 50 lb weight gain, body image, postpartum depression

I gained 50 pounds during my pregnancy, and my body changed in ways I never expected. Becoming a mom has been the hardest thing I've ever had to do. There were times when I felt like I had made a mistake, when I didn't think I'd make it out of the newborn period. Now, 8 months postpartum, I have just started to look and feel like myself again. About me: Just a 30-something Millennial who recent...
I quit Yale Law School to be a SAHM | experiencing racism, sexism, nepotism

Quitting law school was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I'd spent my entire life chasing after conventional success, and getting into Yale Law School seemed like the pinnacle of success. Quickly, though, once the prestige of Yale wore off, I realized that there was nothing meaningful for me there. It was hard to find meaning in being "just" a stay-at-home mom. My entire identity ...
