Okay, to be fair when it comes to the Cher / Kim comparison, Cher also didn't totally style herself. She had a close working relationship and friendship with the designer Bob Mackie- she was almost like his Muse. Therefore, it wouldn't be far off to say that Cher borrowed from Bob's style. And in turn, Kim is going back to Bob's timeless work. She may not realize that and just want to pay homage to Cher, but that nuance is important to acknowledge.
